That is why I don't really blame them much when they find themselves in that position to choose BTW their country of birth and Nigeria. Playing in the youth team of top footballing European nations increases their value in world football and as well pays them more both in their clubs and countries. Imagine Rashford earning close to 200k in united? Shaw earning close to 150k? Tammy Abraham as an unproven talent at Chelsea few seasons ago earned 50k before he left on loan to the championship. Lingard wey no Sabi play ball earns over 100k in man untd Humility017: |

charlesemeka85: If nobody in our league is good enough for the super eagles, then let none of them be included in the team. It is not Rohrs duty to improve in the quality of our league. That is the duty of the NFF and LMC. Rohr's duty is simply to scout for talents good enough for the Super Eagles. We must not allow sentiments make us embrace mediocrity. 1 Like |

Kbs468: English FA is a subset of fifa and didn't make the fifa rule their modification is only binding on their own league and we can all see how screwed up the refereeing in the EPL has turned to due to this oversabi act which can't be compared with other top leagues in Europe. |

Heracles Almelo star Cyriel Dessers has been named Whoscored.com's Player of the Week in the Dutch Eredivisie following the conclusion of the matchday thirteen fixtures. The Leuven-born striker, who is willing to represent the Super Eagles, was the star of the show as Heracles Almelo humiliated VVV Venlo 6-1 at Stadion ErveAsito (Almelo) on Saturday. Dessers scored a 26-minute hat-trick in the second half and provided the assists for the goals scored by Alexander Merkel and Mauro Júnior in the 23rd and 60th minute respectively. The 24-year-old's performance against VVV Venlo landed him a perfect 10/10 rating. He played a game-high eight shots of which six were on target, made three key passes, was the top dribbler (4), had 48 touches and made one tackle over the course of ninety minutes vs VVV Venlo. Joining Dessers in the Team of the Week is another Nigeria-eligible player Chidera Ejike, who netted both goals for SC Heerenveen in a 2-1 win against Sparta Rotterdam, which took his tally to 7 goals in 14 matches across all competitions for the season. In a 4-4-2 formation, Dessers was one of the two strikers and Ejike was deployed as a left midfielder. 2 Likes 1 Share

My stand which remains my final statement concerning the objection I raised few days ago is that people should stop doing things anyhow Nigerians should respect rules, laws and processes Developed countries and societies only became such because they followed the above intoto If we in little settings can't practice this, how then do you expect this to work in a larger setting? A society can only become better when each community practice law and processes the right way and this starts from the smallest unit which is the family. We are a family here and our conducts here will likely go a long way in affecting our individual lifes outside here, once we can do things rightly anywhere we find ourselves, it becomes part of us and influences our actions anywhere else. let's be the mini Nigeria we pray hope and wish to see for our future generation one love to you all I am not an enemy to anyone here, I just like orderliness. Drops pen and back to reading from you wonderful people. 6 Likes |

junnyjake:Very well thought out. Maybe be he should be used like the legendary NWANKWO KANU rather than playing in the striking position that he is being deployed to.in the National Team-The Super Eagles even though that's his club position. Okoye should have been part of the U 23 first since he is still 19. |

How is it STYLISHLY? My position iwas very clear. Even when Icon4s did not make the top list I quoted him and made my opinion known at the onset. And then, my initial reply to this, read it again. That’s my own take on the matter and it clearly shows where I stand. And it’s really not a big deal for me either way, because Icons will still play the all important role regardless. Let’s stop making it seem someone is agaimst Icons. I believe icons himself understand my stand in this. This matter is not suppose to be dragged on. Trying to pitch monikers against monikers to form cliques. That’s divisiveness. Let the committee do it’s work. We are going nowhere. We will support u all regardless. somehow: I'm not saying the EPL is not a mess due to the change they made against FIFA's stipulation But just to point out how rules can be reviewed and changes effected at any given opportunity just like they are about to sit again on Thursday to amend their rules again. Hence my decision to include those 2 reference links on the post I copied you on just like CAF also rescinded it contractual decision with Multi choice probably after discovering the monopolistic nature of Multi choice/DSTV/SUPERSPORT |

Kbs468: It's not about age but the importance of the player to the team. If a player is a key player in the team the club will not release the player unless it's mandatory. Youth competition are not FIFA mandatory. Years ago when AFCON would take place in the heat of the EPL season. Yobo lost his place in the team to Jagielka because Moyes had put pressure on Yobo not too go and he ignored Moyes and went. After that things were never the same again for him at Everton. It was not long before Yobo went to Fenerbache. However, a lot of EPL clubs have quality Nigerian origin players not getting game time and those boys will not be denied opportunity to play for Nigeria U23. As a consequence there is no need to be picking players who are effectively without clubs and or have not played competitive football for near 10 months. There are way too many Nigerian origin players across the elite clubs of Europe. How good they are is open to debate nonetheless there is huge pool talent to select from. |
