This fall is not the first time. It's a cycle. Lie low doing other things and come back when rates are 12% and above. My investment calculations are based on a minimum of 12% return. It is time to take more risk.

Its hard to depend on one source of investments sir ..Those re the things u factor if u re calc tbills for a long term u can't bank on 12% or 14 % etc for 25 yrs ..Rates can crash anytime depending on the Gov policies and change of Gov..Diversification in the key

Not many pple saw this coming this yr .. And all of a sudden

cos the are newbies in the parole,The thread was launched in 2012 ...rate go as low at 6 percent and as high as 18.5 ,with massive devalution and currency instability....infact their where time fixed deposits where better than t.b (study the history).....all this old papa where they build houses to live against stupid investors they know about bond t.b etc.....building house for village (wrong investments) only at 65 above ...building in a non livable area too is wrong investment, using your entire capital to build is madness

The probability is 0.5 that a certain coin will turn up heads when tossed. If a coin is tossed twice, what is the probability that both will turn up heads?
The big question here is, does the occurrence of one event affect the probability of other event?
If Yes, I go for "And Probability Formula" and if No, I go for "Or Probability Formula"
Investment=Probability.
What works for A sometimes doesn't work for B.

...i chap I know I tried introducing him to t.b but he refused cos he rate where too low ...he has a barbing salon (not sure if total investment reach 400 k) he baber remits 10k weekly, this chap used same strategy to open 4 additional and use indirect managment frame work....he only pays for the shop (80k) The equipments....5 shops x 10000 k weekly =50000 k the entire investment will not be up to 2.5m ....the shops have been around since 2013...he also a state govt worker ....an investor should not just closed his mind and be at the mercy of emefele

10k a week comes to about 1,400 (10,000/7) a day. Adult charge is N400 while kids is N200. Using an average of N300 per person barbed gives about 5 (1,400/300) people barbed in a day. Really interesting.

You just nailed it.

I have always loved talking to the numbers. Most will not agree to the fact that 80% of home owners do that for the pride of being known as Landlords. A few that think they buy a house to escape rents are not really talking to the numbers first. Cash is king.

  100% in agreement.

Lucky you. First bank told me in the morning that I'll not be allowed to fill form for primary market today that the platform was closed on Friday last week. Even when I was arguing, the lady that attended to me still stood her ground and I had to leave.
Same thing they told me at Festac branch but the guy collected the form for next 2 weeks auction. Portal closed last week Friday.

What bank did you bid from? I bid from Stanbic bank and my capital wasn't even deducted. Quite worrisome.. Time to look up to another investment.

I'm still making use of my Probability Formula.
I've some undeveloped plots around and I'll still rent some. I'm planning to divert parts of my fund to cassava farm. I've perfected my plan already and this will give me higher interest rate than Tb and Bond
Cbn can't stop me from making money in this country. grin grin

Those that keep paying people to clear the undeveloped plots for them should please handover the plots for me to plan cassava.

I guess, this is FG motive. By reducing the rate, people would be force to invest in biz rather than tbills and this in turn create employment and stimulate economic growth.
