LEEMAH50: Ensure baby is latched on properly by having both the nipple and a reasonable part of the areola in his mouth. You can get a nipple cream, putting breastmilk on the nipple also helps. In all, dont stop breastfeeding, with time it will go. Pele mama |

Hello mummies in the house, I am a first time mum and I am not happy with the weight of my baby girl. She weighed 3.2kg at birth and was 4Kg at 3weeks and 5days, she’s currently 8weeks and I am not satisfied with the way she looks, although I haven’t checked her weight, I just want her to look chubby, she’s looking too small to me. She takes both BM and Formula( Nan1), I need suggestions on another formula that can make her gain weight, it seems Nan isn’t doing what I want. |

Petrelli112: You are concerned and want a chubby baby at 5 weeks? Why not wait for her 6 weeks appointment and allow doctor complain of her weight first. Madam don't put pressure on yourself, baby still have time to gain weight. Just feed her well, an healthy baby is all that matters. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Petrelli112: 8weeks is still nothing to worry about too, not all babies will be chubby except the doctor complain about her losing or not gaining weight, concentrate on feeding her well maybe at more regular intervals and ensure she's healthy too. There are lots of things you will need your energy to worry about Meanwhile, sometimes its hard for mummies to really know their baby is adding weight except babies that are really fat. I used to be like that then. It seemed to me like my baby wasn't gaining weight because my neighbour had a fat baby. Now looking back at all his baby pictures on my phone, i kept wondering if i was seeing well because he wasn't that small as i thought. Kisses to baby and weldone mama 4 Likes |

Petrelli112:All babies can not be chubby, just focus on feeding baby as at when due. See, my first was very chubby and now my second is skinny and tall, looking healthy too. and they have same weight at birth. The most important thing is to have a healthy baby not compulsory that the baby must be fat abi chubby. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ruthiegal: Congratulations, please get a manual pump and keep pumping for now. He might find it difficult to latch on your nipples for now, but since he's taking formula from the bottle, just fill the bottle with your expressed milk and feed. |

@ Lexy500 use bitterkola abt 3cut it and put in a sterilized bottle. Add boiled n cool water to it after 3days put the water in an eye dropper bottle n be dropping it just a drop morning n night or only night as her syrenght can carry. I prefer using d solution immediately from day 1 so tat my eye can start adjusting. Starting from day 3 will be painfully to d eye. Let us hear how it goes 1 Like |

Mamas, good evening. Please how and what do you think I can brush my girl's teeth with coz its kind of not very clean to me. I think its not brown teeth coz the lower ones are whiter than the upper ones. I'm presently using clean handkerchief and baby oral-b toothpaste and sometimes I use her brush to brush it. She is 17months old. Thank you |

UmmuFarrah: Oral b has baby type?? You use a brush Once their teethshows.up and down .She has outgrown that hanky stage a long tym.ago. Use kids toothbrush and age appropriate paste too. I have used maclean1-6 yrs , punch and judy brands, colgate,All for milk teeth. |

jazzyjazz: Was using Colgate and maclean toothpaste for toddlers for Ds, but he always had bad breath not long after brushing, esp after a nap. Have to brush multiple times daily cause of this and changed his toothbrush Resulted to using very little quantity of our regular toothpaste for him and his breath has been good Any idea what we can do? So he goes back to using his regular toddler toothpaste, he's 22months+ |

Awesomemama: I had same issue when I used colgate. Switched to punch and Judy and we've been good. The flouride in adult toothpaste is too much for a kid. |

Looool. No, it's fine. Her bones are just getting strong. Give her natural foods rich in calcium and vitamin D (Google it) My son had bow legs when he started walking at 8 months, he's almost 3 now and there's nothing like that tabithaola: |
