I need ur advice all. I received my study permit but i want to defer my admission to Jan 2021 in the interim I plan to apply for trv for my 2 kids and owp for my husband with my study permit. So we can all arrive Canada at the same time that’s the essence of me doing this. I will inform IRCC abt my admission deferal. What is the chance of approval

We dey 2019 so oh.
I doubt the possibility of ya family given Visa when you have deferred admission by 2years. I am not a guru though,and await their expertise response. Jah bless

Not sure it works that way, don't forget this process is still a game of psychology.
If you must defer and apply while you're still here at all, then it shouldn't be that long.
However, I still think you should travel first and then apply for them it should be more guaranteed, (so far it's done the right way) or better still defer a semester while you apply for them already.

But 2 things are certain, you can easily go with your children first while hubby joins you and no2 you can all go too.. One is just more easier, I suppose from what have seen.

Well, I want to assume you are expected to resume January 2020, I really do not know much but you should be able to defer for a semester, say till September 2020 instead of 2021. I also believe your TRV will state when you need to enter Canada which is often the date of your TRV expiry. Just make sure you obtain a new letter showing your new start date. I am a newbie and thanks to everyone for excellent contributions being made. Please can someone use Police Clearance Certificate from other state CID office for SOWP application or must it be obtained from Alagbon in Lagos?

Just to confirm if the one got from another CID office apart from Lagos are also acceptable.

I would advise you use it and not pay another money. Moreover, I did NOT submit police clearance for my Study Permit last year nor for my wife's SOWP this year. And BOTH applications were approved.

SOP Stating why she needs to be with me in Canada for moral support towards my studies. I stated the purpose which is to go along with me,highlighted financial part ,home ties using our parents and properties.
I actually applied for them 2 weeks after I got my study visa while still in Nigeria,so I wrote the letter in anticipation of approval so we could go together cos I have seen it happening here before,so we had to make it so persuasive kind of.
My admission letter,scholarship offer from my university in Canada.
My employment letters,certificates etc
The SOA used for mine which covers their living expenses for a year like 4k for wifey and 3k each for kids since the scholarship already covers my own expenses. These comprises of fixed deposit funds and current account balances in my account.

We did not submit police report even during my own study visa as well. We did not also submit any family pics of us together cos I heard vfs dont take pics sometimes ago but don't know how true that is. I would have love to add some to prove relationship had it been we use Online application but we did paper.
I could not also secure admission for my son for school in Canada (Above 5 years) while in Nigeria cos they are asking for lease/rental agreement and I am yet to even travel then. For the child that is less than 5 years,we applied for visiting visa while wife is SOWP


Spouse documents:

Statement of account,just to show she is earning salary not necessarily with any significant closing balance
Marriage cert,birth cert for her and children
Change of name affidavit and newspaper publication

Please can you explain the part where you said you applied for visiting visa for you child that is not up to 5years

What is the duration of study stated on your study permit?

If by the end of December, your duration is less than 6 months...….don't apply for your wife until you renew your study visa.
Also note that duration of study to a Visa officer is when you write your final exam......don't go by the last day on the permit.

I provided more details from my wife’s place of work - introduction letter, bank statement showing salary payment, payslips. I also provided documents showing ownership of our house in Nigeria worth over 60 million Naira, CAC document showing 20% ownership of family business with cash flow of over 500million Naira and bank statement showing payments from the business, and attached bank documents from my Canadian bank account showing a 1 year fixed deposit of $50000 and about $25000 closing balance from chequing account and savings account. I applied using an agent here in Canada. So he helped to put everything together and clarified in details our circumstance based on the information from the GCmS note. More details were provided sha, this is not every.. the agent was quite detailed in his letter of explanation
