I've read the back and forth between Thesupernerd and other monickers on the fellow and this is my two cents

Collins is not as bad as alot of people here want to paint him to be

Yeah,we need an upgrade but Idowu?? Really??

sha,every mallam with him kettle

against Benin Republic, he was beaten too easily by a fast winger, speed ain't his strength.. but other than that,He hardly did anything wrong in that match

Defensively, He cleared alot of balls and the Beninese couldn't get past him

and Offensively, ask any one who watched the match,he was a Darling to watch.. he created about three chances plus he had this solo run whereby he nutmegged a player and dribbled past the second.. He was unlucky not to have an assist there


like i said, Yes he is not the best out there

But he is certainly not as bad as painted

My stance remains we can cause problems to the top teams of the international game if we play to our strength. I do not focus on results but performance which in a long run will yield more consistent good results.

So against these teams, we can perform well and cause them troubles if we play with intensity and bravery. Noting that we must also keep a strong defensive shape while doing this.

However, if we go to play these teams with a negative mindset, sitting deep and waiting for favours, we will likely look poor and weak.

To answer your question, it depends on how we set up. In an offensive way, we will cause them problems. In a negative way, we will cause ourselves problems.

The telepathic connection between Osimhen and Iwobi was something to behold. They just had a field day creating chances. Victor could have scored 5 goals yesterday if he had finished some of the chances Alex set him up with. I hope we see more of this from the two of them because that was an attacking clinic they put on yesterday

Unfortunately and shamefully Nigeria does not have OFFICIAL AUTOMATIC BIRTH DATA CAPTURE. As a consequence it is IMPOSSIBLE to have official age verification in Nigeria.

In Nigeria we rely entirely on personal integrity which knowing our country and it's value system is very very weak indeed.

We can't even have basic free and fair elections.

I can see us beating Austria but not comprehensively.

A possible draw with Denmark.

But beating Croatia, Portugal and England is a very tall order.

I have met a few players who were excellent players but completely clueless coaches.

Sadiq Umar hmmmmm get as he be.

Physically imposing player with zero physicality.

Unfortunately we have not seen Josh Maja play for the SE and he is just about average or below at his club.

The slower paced and less physical game doesn't seem to suit him. Either that or he is simply not good enough.
