Ethiopia just beat Chriskel's Cote D'Ivoire (His Wife's In-laws) 2-1 in a Match day 2 Afcon Qualifiers tie. I wonder how many Carpenters we have from that Ivorian branch? 9 Likes 3 Shares |

I like the idea of Amuneke and Finidi for the long term future. Nice. But for now, Rohr it is. TheGoodJoe: 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Starboytwo: There was no official Super Eagles thread back in 2013 but the match threads used to serve the purpose. It was huge then. For instance, a friendly match thread could go on for weeks. The AFCON threads then were electric, with the controversies from the list of Keshi which always sparked debates. Especially the home based players and calling a young Omeruo. The dropping of Yobo was fire. The unleashing of Mikel. The NFF fighting Keshi. So as each match progressed in the AFCON, it was like a relay of electric debates. Very nice atmosphere. It went on to the World Cup which was madness. From the demolition of Spain by Netherlands, to the resurgence of the 3-5-2. To the diving of Robben, to Nigeria getting to the second round. I think the thrashing of Brazil was the pinnacle of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7IMPsyQg6k (still in shock) So the match threads were the real deal then before we found a home in the Super Eagles thread. |

Brazil recording their first international win after Copa America triumph and as usual it's against their Asian wives (S.Korea). Football has evolved imagine CIV couldn't beat Ethiopia that on paper that match would be a walk over and 3 pts. |

People think employing Wenger+Guardiola +Klopp would make a team unbeatable It is akin to saying playing 9 strikers will score you 9 goals 1 Like 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe:oh I really tried my best, I was good kinda, a 9, I'm a 6 ftooter... I could work more on my speed, but I have heard my coach say it's hard getting the ball off my feets... Football took me out of the country for the first time around 2010 or so, was the sport prefect in my sch and I was selected with 4 others to follow a team on a tournament to Benin republic, wrote a letter to my principal and I was allowed to go for two weeks.... Pls guess who was dropped for being a girl, Rashidat Ajibade, yeah the girl with the super falcon now, she was a teammate once, infact I remembered the day her dad brought her to start training with us, problem is she was a girl, but she looked like a boy anyway, and I remembered she was so good.... Azizat also trained with Robo fc, and we played a match against another once.... Also played a friendly with Raheem lawal(wole)once, it's was an exhibition, home base vs foreign, end of year party ish... My Best match was against vs a team with Gabriel Okechukwu( the boy keshi gave no 10 one time like that before the sack) he played for chan eagles, I think 2 - 3 years ago.. He was a leftie, and the best player I played against, he scored a freekick just above my head, I scored 2 goals, my first was a header, if only there was some kind of recording for the 2nd goal, i ghosted 2 defender before I slotted home the equalizer after the match he congratulated me, nice goal he said... He was damn fit and you need to see the accuracy on that left leg.... University robbed me of football... That was the plain truth.... My heroes forever will be Delima ronaldo( the greatest player I ever watched) Kanu nwankwo ( that's what they call me when I was younger) Now Neymar(this is my favourite player and I rate 3rd after Ronaldo and Messi) if only injury will let him be and let me enjoy a proper season with him.... I'm still learning some of his tricks and movement Sha... 7 Likes 1 Share |

darkelf: As Christians we are told the righteous shall face persecution. We are probably the most religious country in the World. However, nobody wants to face PERSECUTION for righteousness. Look at Sowore facing persecution for whatâť“ For a period l worked in Nigeria in the accounts department. All the accounting staff were sacked apart from myself and the Chief accountant. Who in the middle of the night slaughtered a goat in a satanic ritual and then joined a cult. There are many things l saw and challenged but nobody and l mean nobody was ready to stand with me against it corruption. Very shortly after l came back to the UK. There are some things you can achieve in Nigeria. By the grace of God and stand on truth and righteousness. But our corruption is intrinsic and endemic it touches every sector including the church. |
