Then for you flight reservation, just go to any Airline website... probably SA airways and book for tentative date for your flight. Make sure it’s not more than 24 hours earlier than your submission at vfs. For all other requirements visit the vfs website.

It seems so many people are affected, cos even on Twitter people have been tagging the likes of @abikedabiri, sanwoolu and the vice president, Bobby moroe, etc. This act of south Africa embassy is just an indirect way of extorting us cos if we cant wait for their decision we will have withdraw our P. But it's so unfair sha. My passport has been there for 2 and half months.

Please does anyone know how I can ask for return of passports. Myself and my dad applied since September and the visa isn’t out yet. It’s for medical reasons so We concluded to Try another country for his treatments before the sickness gets worse.

Thank you so much Bro. I have sent her request on this but she hasn't reply me yet. I have equally send mails to the Res manager about how to make payment for placement offer nothing yet . I need that proof of accommodation seriously .

Please if there is anyone here in Hatfield in Pretoria. Kindly help me

you can follow them on Facebook. It's much easier to communicate to them using their Facebook page. The whole process can be very tedious anyway.

I think the only visa category that they give urgent attention is student's visa. That's really unfair to others

Please from which airline did you make reservation before applying for your study permit? And please can you share the minimum amount one can have to be on the safest side?

I think if you have 2mill plus, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Pls someone should start the thread on twitter ASAP. It’s becoming part and parcel of this embassy to collect visa fee and dump passports somewhere. This is not good.

And the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs doesn't even run an active website. I'm planning on writing the ministry a letter next week to look into this sham going on. They need to call SA to order. If the SA High Commission in Nigeria has a qouta for Nigerian applicants they want admitted into their country per year, they need to let us know, and not keep extorting money from people and then hold on to their passports for months and months. It's annoying.
