Their current update is a complete flop. Console is complicated and the overall game play is nothing spectacular.

You can look up their reviews online. Even on playstore they've got 3.9 compared to DLS with a 4.5 rating. Even ordinary FIFA has a higher approval rating.

Konami got this one wrong.

yes there's a couple of cheats with the game play... but the game isn't so hard that it's unplayable... my campaign is on level 37 and I still win matches

If Konami designed Pes to be less player friendly and make people opt for an alternative, they've met that objective.

eFootball PES2020 Mobile is better than PES2019 mobile, and in my opinion, is way better than FIFA Mobile. Here is my take.
On the graphics front, PES is the clear winner, no contest.
In the audio department, PES also wins with decent commentary and a very nice playlist.
PES mobile consumes a much smaller amount of data compared to FIFA mobile. You will only use more data to install PES, but after installation it doesn't consume so much. FIFA mobile on the other hand has a much smaller installation size, but when you play it consumes huge chunks of data.
Gameplay, now this is a little bit subjective. You can master FIFA Mobile in a day; within one day you will be dribbling, scoring fantastic goals, making accurate passes, and so on. PES Mobile is a very different beast, it will take you way longer to master. Dribbling, passing, scoring, and even defending in PES is an art form. It will take constant practice to master. In PES2020 defending is way better than it was in PES2019, even the goalkeepers are fantastic. Personally, it is just way more satisfying playing PES Mobile.
However, everyone has his/her preferences. I prefer PES Mobile.

People playing fifa and dls on mobile only do it because either their phone can't run pes or they find it unplayable

There are core FIFA fans just as there are Pes fanatics.

From someone who's neither a fan of any, I'd say FIFA provides a better medium of entertainment and overall relaxation (which is suppose to be the primary objective of a game).

Unlike PES wey opponent go hold ball hypertension go wan catch you. Cause you know say you must concede.

May I suggest Via browser, a browser with a minimalist design. Its installer is less than 1MB, and it doesn't have those nonsense news feeds and popups that are common in many other browsers. The only issue I have with it is the inbuilt download manager, it is not as powerful as the one in UCbrowser, thankfully though ADM is usually up to the task.
