FNRF: You have to explain the source of money in your account if you are going to present any bank account from China. Are you allowed to work or do business as a foreign student in China? If no then be careful else it could affect your application. 1 Like |

justwise: I earn a salar of 363k to be precise with commision of 83k every month, what do you think can be my living expenaes amd my disposable income sir? Also my wife is a business owner with cac documents. Our plan is i should sponsor my self and sh should sponsor herself and our kid. How viable is that sir? Also like how much do you think we both can book down seperately for the 1 week trip for christmas sir (imcluding tour plane hotel and the rest sir? And like what documents can we include sir? |

Just as you said, you can sponsor yourself, while your wife sponsors herself and the kids. But your applications should be submitted together as a family, you should write a letter of explanation/sponsorship both signed by you. All huge deposits must be explained, keep your monthly expense as low as possible but not rediculous. Alkidam: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by justwise(m): 8:52am On Nov 22, 2019 |
Alkidam: I think it is too late now to apply for Xmas trip only if you are going to pay thousands for super priority application and pray long and hard that it comes out before your travel date. Secondly.. apply as a family and submit your financial documents together with supporting documents. Separate sponsorship makes no sense to me when you are applying as a family and traveling together. I don't know what your living expenses and disposable income should be as I don't live with you to know how much you spend in your family. Only you and your wife will know that. Calculate how much you spend monthly on family needs and state how much you are left with. 1 Like |

No, foreign students can not. If I say I’m running a money exchange platform from Nigeria hence the reason of the huge funds coming in and out of my account would that work? I do not work illegally, I only do the money exchange thingy. I have thought about saying I buy goods and send back home from funds I have been able to save from the upkeep my parents monthly but my fear is I do not have waybills to prove that. I also intend to join my Nigerian bank statement to show that the influx of payments going in and out of my Nigerian account as well but I do not have any standing balance in it because I majorly use it to receive funds and sell it as soon as I see a buyer for it. justwise: |

I want to appreciate everyone of us that keep the ball rolling on the platform, I just need your contribution on my next application to UK, l was refused in 2012 base on the ECO comment below, although l have been to UK in 2009 while l was working in a bank, by the time l applied in 2012 l was working in my brother's company as executive director, but my name was not included in the list of directors. Kindly advise on the necessary doc l need to present now and how to defend the comments raised by the ECO. Mwhile, now have a registered company and have travelled to Europe like 8times since that time.

FNRF: If working as foreign student is not allowed then what you are doing is illegal there is no two ways about it. Present an honest application than trying to make up things and cut corners. If your mum will be sponsoring you then present that evidence. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by justwise(m): 12:19pm On Nov 22, 2019 |
dotunfelix1: Spending £2000 for 10days trip represents 4months of your salary which is far too much for a 10days trip. This is what you need to address and provide evidence to justify the origin of money deposited into your salary account. |

Good day all, I have been reading all that peeps have posted in this thread & I am convinced I can apply for UK visa without using an agent. I am married with a kid and I am applying for myself alone for 5 days Tourism in March but I need clarification on below: 1. I am using the joint acct with my wife which has a balance of N11m & got my wife to write & sign a letter of consent to agree that I can take N1m from the acct for my trip, is this allowed? 2. My budget is N200k for hotel & N250k for flight & 400k for feeding, transportation & others making a budget of N850k, is this okay for someone who earns N480k monthly with N200k monthly expenses? Note: I would be attaching my wife’s employment letter & salary accounts to show how much she earns monthly & how we both contribute to the welfare of our home. 3. I booked a hotel on booking.com for N195k but they later cancelled the booking on the grounds that Credit/debut card was declined (MasterCard), meanwhile I am meant to make payment on arrival. I had about N150k in the card, what do u think I should have done? It appears they wanted to debit me for the booking. Please I need help. |

U didn’t say how u earn ur money ... is it salary? Hotels will cancel ur booking this early if there’s no money in d card u used.. Then..... Even if u have excess money, it’s always safe to stay within the confines of 2 months of your disposable income if you are a salary earner. It is a 5 day trip. I feel like 850k is a lot for the application. When this 850k is put in relation to your proposed disposable income it leaves u with 280k... why then will ur holiday cost 850k? Thats almost 4 times the amount U have a lot of time. If it were me, I will reduce my monthly expenses say to 80-100k. ... I will be left with 380k and then I will work with this budget not to exceed twice this... that is not to exceed 760k If u reach UK and decide to spend 10.9million before coming back they have no issues with it but dont put frivolous amounts on ur application form no matter ur account balance. It has backfired in 95% of cases I have read here. Go to Booking.com and look for cheaper hotels... there are a million options. U have time to adjust your financial situation and all your ties before u apply... and yes to every other thing with the letter from ur wife and bla bla bla.. also she will be in the country during the time of your travel Side note- please hope there is verifiable evidence to show how the 11m joint account balance was accumulated. Finally, read the thread for supporting documentation.. there are a lot Calypso1234: 3 Likes |

Calypso1234:They said it is advisable to make sure your total spending is not more than your salary for 2 months. Your budget of 850k is less than your 2 months salary but spending 850k for 5 days trip is on a high side. 1 Like |

Hi @Giselle236, Thanks a lot for the prompt response, I will adjust the finance part as advised. Meanwhile, to book a hotel, no prepayment & there is free cancellation. Must I have the total amount in my Acct at the point of booking the hotel room? I have found a very cheap one I want to book now but am afraid they might debut My acct. |

They have those with free cancellation just 2 days to ur arrival. Choose the ones with free cancellation options incase u change ur mind and want another hotel. They wont debit if its pay later/pay at hotel option + free cancellation Calypso1234: |

850k is more than twice his disposable income(480k-200k=280k disposable income); 280k*2=560k Ashirioluwa: 1 Like |

Good evening house. Please i need your advise on this refusal letter. We applied to go spend Christmas with a friend and she sent all her details and invite too. I want to reapply again. I started in my application that my husband is going to sponsor my child and I. I also attached the invoice of the #400, 000 and #264 that entered my account. The statements i submitted were salary (which shows salary payment) and personal. The salary had a closing balance of #98. 00 and personal closing balance of #230, 000. Please advise on what to do to reapply.

UK tourist visa time line Biometrics - 1st November Application transferred to Dmc- 1st Nov Application received by Dmc- 4th Nov No concluded email Application transferred to Vac- 20th Nov Collection email- 20th Nov Passport collected- 22nd Nov Visa issued on 16th Nov First time application ..6 months visa I have been a silent follower, I got most of the information I used here, I never asked any question. I want to thank everyone who contributed positively to this forum..there are regular names like Justwise, Giselle , thank u so much, I pray God will grant ur heart desires. Now my case was almost hopeless, I have a divorce case going On, my former husband filed for divorce, fortunately for me I met my old lover who travelled to the UK and we started where we stopped. Now he is my Fiance, we are getting married in Nigeria early next year but he wanted me to spend Christmas holiday with him in the UK, I was not sure it would work cos I work in a school and earn 40k only and out of that salary, my daughter's school fees will be deducted every month, so I have like 20k left .so my Fiance sent me invitation letter that he will sponsor my trip, he sent his ILR, council tax, letter from employer, pay slips, statement of account that enters debit at the end of the month, so I didn't put much hope that I would be given visa coupled with the fact that a lady with a similar case was rejected 2 weeks ago, I was expecting rejection letter today but I didn't see any, opened the passport and saw 6 months visa. I am writing my story here to encourage someone like me . Thanks and nice weekend 16 Likes |

Thanks for the swift response. I only stated it in the application. I didn't know separate letters were required. I wish i visited this platform before applying. Can we still reapply? What would you advice? asamwababy: |
