How are you going to pay the SGR debt that is drivng investors away from yout non productive economy?
Why have you sold all your farmlands to multinationals and Qatar for your people to become slaves on their own lands?

Why is Kenya's export just a meagre 5 billion dollars?
why are so many kenyan so poor?

why are 70 % of kenyans villagers?
why is there no kenyan tea brand?
Why is Kenya borrowing to pay debts?
why i kenya borrowing to support the kshs?
i want to believe you know Zimbabwe ?
Why is Kenya such an underdeveloped country?
why are roads in Kenya so bad?
Kenya has a road network of about 177,800 km out of which only 63,575 km ... During the same period, the paved road length grew from 1,811 km to 9,273 km.

why does Kenya have such poor health care facilities?
Mkenya2019:
Splitting the hairs. Do you think what Cocoa has done to Ghana is comparable to what Gold or Oil has done? Of course the answer you don't want to answer is NO. Oil only contribution to your GDP is that offshore OIL RIG - and measly 1B dollars - otherwise the rest of the money ends up abroad - in oil majors account in Swiss or Luxembourg.

Here is your latest export data for 2018 - about 14B dollars in 2018 ..Oil(4.5)+Gold(5.5)+Cocoa(2).

https://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/business/Ghana-s-2018-export-improve-significantly-BoG-data-718978#
1)Receipts from oil exports increased from USD 3.1 billion dollars in 2017 to USD 4.5 billion dollars in 2018.

2) Gold exports on the other hand witnessed a marginal decline from USD 5.7 billion dollars exported in 2017 to USD 5.4 billion dollars exported in 2018. This represents a decline of 5.6 percent.

3) While cocoa exports for 2017 stood at USD 2.6 billion dollars, the figure for 2018 dropped significantly by 21.4 percent to USD 2.09 billion dollars for 2018.

Phase 1 and 2 of this project has been complete for a while but still worth highlighting.

This public school and several others in the city's poorest areas were rebuilt through a partnership between Kenya's MOE and the KFW Bank

I actually don't see how reflect in the economic pulse of the nation. measuring individual wealth has nothing to do with total economic output of nation. infact, to me it only indicates how some millionaire have increased their wealth while ignoring those who have remain poor.

south africa actually has the number that is great, but it fast moving down on that lake , Casablanca and Cairo seems to be the next preferred investment choice for investors. for the first time , Casablanca car production outspace that of south africa.. South Africa shouldn't just sit and watch. economic team mist rise up to their feet. something unforseen might be coming.....

i actually don't envy the ranks Ghana seems to have more millionaire than TZ and this millionaire have increased in wealth. what about the inequalities. the margin keep increasing but not as worse as kenya or your country . I think moorroc did well better than any countries due to little differences in inequalities compare to the rest of African state.

Africa leader should find way of closing the gap.... that is what capitalism breed.

South Africa is open for business, investment and growth. Last year’s successful inaugural Investment Conference attracted R300 billion in investment commitments from local and international investors. In the last year since the first Conference, government has worked to improve the business and investment environment.

The 2nd SAIC supports the country’s investment drive, announced in 2018 by President Cyril Ramaphosa, which seeks to mobilise R1,2 trillion in new investments by 2023. The first South Africa Investment Conference was held in October 2018, where R300 billion was committed for investment in South Africa by local and international investors.

Indeed, the three main sponsors of this year’s South Africa Investment Conference all made pledges at the inaugural Investment Conference in 2018. Naspers pledged
R4,6 billion, Vodacom committed R50 billion and Anglo American made a pledge of R71 billion.

Invesrment is up in SA, morroco geographicaly is on a good location due to its close proximity to europe

Actually there is nothing rocky about tea factory... it is as easy as ABC.. I estimate a tea processing plant when taking into account, rent, machinery, cash needed for day to day running, transportation, packaging etc as overall coast between 50 to 100 thousand dollars ... nothing rocky about it bro.
Tea factory cost around 10m dollars... the cottage cost 1m dollars.Kenya has anything upto 150 tea factories and Mombasa tea auction is world biggest.

One question at a time besides I think we ready covered this in last 5000 pages with Nigeria.I see you're desperately trying to divert attention from Ghana.Remove minerals and oil..what do you export..cocoa beans? You want to compare yourself with Kenya that has solid macro economics, prudent financial management including debt management and is winning the war against poverty when she is 89 % semi arid and has no minerals. That rich coming from aid dependant natural resource IMF colony whose citizens are immigrating enmasse.Kenya tea production has risen to be global leader on the back of small holder farmers with our Kenya Tea Dev Agency paying nearly a billion dollars annually to farmers. Mombasa tea auction is world biggest with tea from all over Africa sold there. The same is replicated in horticulture where Kenya vegetables dominate supermarket shelves of Europe and Middle East.We lead Africa in export of apparels & textiles to the US.We lead Africa in intra-africa trade. We are one of Africa biggest source of foregn investment outside South Africa with our companies spread all over SSA. We have 20k road network in a country where 2/3 of it is hardly populated and existing road network is good enough. In the last 15 yrs our economy has grown from 15b to 100b and nothing suggest that growth rate is about to stop..so another 15yrs our economy will most likely be worth 600B.. certainly in 3-4 yrs we will overtake Morocco to sit just below Algeria. We have one of Africa most educated professional force and MNC are choosing Nairobi over Joburg for that reason as their Africa HQ or entry point. We are nailing demographics..pop growth rate now 2.1% from 2.9% 10yrs ago..and are just about 5yrs from entering a demographic transition of more adults than kids that will further fuel our economic growth. Our cities certainly look way better than any of your shanties including Accra. Surely it is very rich for an IMF colony like Ghana that has tried to rebase itself from one Africa poorest country to where it is now but has not managed to handle hyperinflation and currency deprication..a country that depends on AID and is one year from another economic meltdown.Your best highway is a gift from George bush for being the whims. Our advice..learn from Kenya, diversity your economy, formalize your economy and join the modern world. You live just across the US and you cannot take advantage of AGOA that allow duty free quota free imports of 600 items from Africa? Ouch! Really we should sometimes question things deeper when looking at the undeniable sad predicament of Black America. A casual look shows:
-under equipped schools
-higher crime rates
-poor housing

Once you notice this and look deeper you notice almost EVERY BLACK URBAN AREA IS SURROUNDED BY A THOROUGHFARE. Btw, this is true in the East coast, the South,Kali and even the smaller mid West cities !
Once you ask-how did that happen is when you begin to understand the monumental multi generational full spectrum war against Black America.

How has oil helped Nigeria when you're the undisputed world poverty capital and will be holding that title for the foreseeable future.None of what I have written is false.Outside banking and a now few tech companies Nigeria doesn't contribute to any foreign investment in Africa. Maybe you can add Dangote.Kenya companies from all sectors are all over Africa.Name any sector and you'll find Kenya regional footprints including even oil that we don't have have. Our oil downstream companies dominate from Sudan all the way to Mozambique
that like 20 countries and yet we produce 2000 barrels as of today from zero last year.In short start using your brains as thinking human being and stop waiting for little oil money

I may not have the latest data but Kenya was Africa's largest investor in terms of project numbers in 2016 as per the report by Earnest & Young. Whereas we beat South Africa in the number of projects, they beat us in the project values. They invested 2 billion dollars while we invested a billion dollars in other African countries. I think we are up there amongst biggest Africa to Africa FDI sources/intra-Africa FDI sources. Our companies are expanding and investing in other African markets.
