delete media files on your phone(movies, music)just back them up somewhere else and see if the problem persists.i once had severe battery drain and overheating when i used a note 5 ai only to find out that one of my media files(sai k anime) was the cause and once i deleted everything went back to normal

Those complaining of battery draining fast, I think the problem is whatsapp. I haven't updated my phone yet, but since I updated my whatsapp, the battery drained fast. I can no longer boast of 11-12hrs SOT instead 6-7hrs.

But whatsapp now have a new update, you can update it to the latest version to confirm if it's the problem.

Hey guys, I want to get a phone for someone and am kind of fixed between the lenovo k5 pro and the redmi 8...they are both 4gig ram and 64gig rom...
Any help would be appreciated...

Overall, the Lenovo K5 Pro is better than the Redmi 8, the K5 Pro is a contemporary of the Redmi note 5/6. The only advantage you would get with the Redmi 8 is constant updates, as pointed out by @fibonacci2526, while Lenovo don't care too much about updates except you want to try GSI ROMS.

Not fronting for @fibonacci2526, but what she said is important. I have the Lenovo K5 Pro, and it's awesome, however, some buyers will freak out when they learn about the almost nonexistent software updates. I personally am fine with this, heck I can even get a GSI ROM with Android 10 if I want. We are just being objective, and laying all the cards on the table. The ball is squarely in the buyer's court.

Guys, what are your thoughts:

Redmi Note 8 (63k) or Oppo F11Pro (70k)

Both are brand new.

What do you advise? Thanks!

While the Oppo F11 Pro is a cool device, I will personally choose the Redmi note 8. Why?

It has a newer, slightly more powerful, and more efficient SOC (SD665 vs Helio P70).
USB Type-C vs microUSB port.
MIUI vs ColorOS.
Dedicated microSD card slot.
No motorised camera (it is a potential point of failure).

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Nobody: 5:47am On Nov 23, 2019
I'm unable to share app on my Rn8, like on tecno if you long press an app it brings out share option to share on WhatsApp, telegram etc, but on Rn8 it just showed app info.

I went to file manager, Apk, I didn't see all my apps, just few.

What can I do, I love apps to people on WhatsApp

This is not battery chart but app usage on MIUI 10 you will click that clock symbol on the upper right corner to show battery chart. Screenshot that chart

While on the page of your current screenshot click hardware and click Screen to display screen on time.

Screenshot that screen on time, that way we can analyse if your battery usage is normal or not.

mine is worst sir

Why is your screen that bright? You only shared the Screen on Time what of your battery chart? How are you sure your network is not contributing to the poor battery life.

Another thing always switch any SIM you are not using to browse to 2G

Also I won't advise you use power saver till about 40% or less.

Go to your SIM cards & mobile network under settings select the Glo sim>preferred network type>prefer 3G.

*#*#4636#*#* or download forcelte app from playstore. All these drain battery you are complaining of. If we see your app usage and battery chart/graph it might even be normal.

Also change your second SIM you are not using to browse to 2G.

This things are not hard.
