It is no longer news that the nation's health system is in shambles but some will agree with me that there are great doctors in the system who are so passionate about their jobs. Share the experience(s) you've had with them. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Hmmmm.... I had a surgery sometime in 2015 in a federal hospital at Abuja, on the surgical bed the doctor meant to fix the drip on my hand kept puncturing my hands and he did so in a very mean manner. A colleague of his asked him to calm down and he started ranting about how someone brushed his car and pulled out the bumper. After that, I needed to go for post surgery treatment. On that particular day I was having this severe headache that ran through my spine and couldn't sit for long as a result Anastasia administered on me. I pleaded with this same premature doctor to allow me see the consultant as I was in sefia pains. This dude was so rude and asked me if I'm the first person to be in pains. I just told him that ''guy even as I am in pains, if I hear Pim from your mouth again, I'll gather my last strength and beat you up'' the guy just waka jejely as me ma don mean am since the day I had the surgery when he used my hands for acupuncture practice. Eventually I saw the chief consultant who told me to drink more water to wash down the effect of the Anastasia and spend more time lying down as against sitting up for the mean time. He also scolded him for not knowing what to do to relieve my pains. I just thank God he wasn't the chief consultant.... I for no see my breakthrough in life. 253 Likes 9 Shares |

The thread would have been more interesting if it were ‘ Share your experience with Nigerian NURSES’ But still 1 .while serving in lokoja , A female doctor was giving me injections and receiving call , left the injection in my ass to be replying chats 2. Refusal to treat my dying friend less we registered, buy a card and pay in advance , coz we were broke , all our pleas went into deaf ears 3 . Waited Four and half hours for the doctor to tell me ‘you are fine ‘ 69 Likes 2 Shares |

They killed my father few months ago, we rushed him to the hospital they said no deposit no treatment, at around 1am in the morning with no atm card. And yes, it's a private hospital. Nigeria has failed a lot of people, don't blame people wanting to run away, nothing works in this country RIP dad 128 Likes 5 Shares |

The little ive had, showed me many are experimenting with patients due to lack of experience, exposure and knowledge gap except for the consultants. Now I will advise anyone taking treatment Aslong as it’s not an emergency to verify medications before taking them. Just for precautionary measures There are still some that know their onions and won’t just push drugs at u bt explain in details what they are meant for and the possible side effects that may be of concern to u. 30 Likes 2 Shares |

It was around 1999 and I just graduated in the prior year after I finished writing my WAEC and JAMB while awaiting the results. I got into a minor but, freakish accident that got my outter ear (pinna) lacerated. I needed a couple of stitches which was performed by a very young and beautiful Physician. I enjoyed every bit of the procedure especially when she touched me. My nackson never failed to disappoint. Always saluting her warm touches. I gladly did check-up for the following 5 days despite only requesting 3 days... I made sure I dressed well trying to impress her but, it didn't work. I later found out she was dating the owner of the facility. 100 Likes 5 Shares |

I have had multiple bad experiences with Nigerian doctors. I have been misdiagnosed and struggled with health issues as a result of bad diagnoses. However, I strongly believe that with a well regulated health industry, equipments, training and adequate pay, Nigerian doctors can easily perform better than their peers anywhere in the world. This brings me back to what I’ve always said; Nigeria can never be a successful country until we have more middle class than poor people. The poverty of the majority poor will make it difficult for any industry to flourish in Nigeria including the health sector. 60 Likes 4 Shares |

Had a surgery when I was young. The doctor appeared calm and composed. He said it wouldn't hurt so I don't need to be put to sleep. Probably saw me as a quick gravy train. Despite the fact that I was injected with some analgesics, the pain was intense. Believe me, I didn't make the second appointment. He probably did it for his co-worker. 3 Likes 1 Share |
