Cold Pursuit: 3 stars out of 4.

It's easy to deride this film due to the wastefulness of characters, cliched storyline and execution.

But then I felt the director didn't want the film to be serious: probably was gunning for something with comedy chops.

I thought it happened exactly like that, then I did a research, and realized that it was an irony... classic QT. Basically, it's QT's way of rewriting history. I've rewatched it since, and enjoyed it much more than I did on first watch.

Read up on Tate–LaBianca murders, and watch the film again. I guarantee it will make more sense to you. Watch it as an alternate history movie.

I understood it as an alternate history story but still I think the meandering was too much. It was a fair movie but not spectacular. I couldnt really pin down the point
