safarigirl: If you are "not religious", that would mean you do not belong to any religion. And that would automatically make you an atheist. You either believe in the existence of a God or gods, or you don't (unless you're agnostic). If you do believe in God(s), then you are religious, if you don't, then you're an atheist. It's that simple. It totally possible to be an atheist and also have moral standards. A " liberal Christian " is one who forms his worldview based on a flexible interpretation of the Bible to accommodate social and scientific trends rather than on rigid biblical commandments. For example, Liberal Christians may support gay marriage rights, feminism, evolution e.t.c though these are in direct contradiction with the Bible. P.S: I realize your religious beliefs is your personal business and I would totally understand if you choose not to further this discussion. I'm just curious that is all. 1 Like |

NFF must allow Rohr continue with his job. This is the worst time to rock the ship. A new coach starts to invite his own players and destroys what has been achieved. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

Many of us know more about Nigeria players than some of the local coaches. Employ them and expect to see the likes of Nwakali who has not played club football in more than a year and Iheanacho who is struggling for game time back in the team. We will start to see more inexplicable invites and wonder how they made the team. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

We see how money selection has permeated through all the national teams. It would be a disaster if we give the super eagles back to agents who just want their players in the team so they can sell them. Many of the people who want Rohr gone have selfish ambitions. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Curtisaxel7:I already told you before that when I say "I am not religious" I mean "I am not a fanatic" I Told you what I meant by it, but you want me to change the English to how you will understand it. I am not mandated to tell it to you as you want it, but as I see it and as it pertains to me. And learn the difference. I am not religious, at best, would be, I am agnostic. An agnostic believes in God, but does not believe in the religions like Christianity and such, not to be mistaken for an Atheist, who does not believe in God at all. I like plenty talk, but I hate when people want me to go round a circle or want to corner me to say things as they want. 1 Like |

If Pinnick's NFF decide to let Rohr go then a quality replacement who has integrity must be brought in. I can not even trust the NFF to do that going by their coach choices in other national teams. Imama, Aigbogun and Manu still have jobs. 5 Likes |

that why the so called football enthusiast and media are bent on spewing propaganda just to get him sacked because if they re truly lovers of the national team they won't allow their selfish intents blind them from the progress the team have made so far since coming of rohr. Building a national team takes time, it begins with trial and errors until the right tactics and players are mastered and groomed to understand each other. it took westahof 4 years to put together the most successful team we have ever had that went on to qualify for their first world cup outing, winning the afcon and ranked fifth by fifa in the whole world. Rohr has his flaws and short coming but with the work he has done so far with the team which is positive it will be disastrous to let him leave. from his statement so far he wish to continue with the team but demands that his contractual agreement with the nff must be respected in terms of payment of his allowances and wages while the nff as well invite him for talks on renewing his contract. if truly rohr wish to abandon a team he nurtured from scratch to one of the best in the continent currently he would have left immediately after the afcon. tbaba1234: 1 Like |

i just hope pinnick and his cohorts renew his contract with new clauses and targets. a mandate to rohr to at least take the team to the next afcon finals and 2nd round stage at the 2022 world cup. with the progress of the team so far coupled with talented young players in his disposal i believe this targets are reachable. it makes no sense letting him leave and at the same time running off to europe to get another coach who the nff will still default in paying his wages and bonuses. for now let's make do with what we have and can afford 1 Like |

your second paragraph is the heart of the matter. even in club football where their is less patience especially with top sides club owners (who are not perez of real madrid lol) are wary of getting rid of coaches just because they haven't won a trophy especially when they see progress in quality of team play and results. progress which you rightly said could eventually lead to trophies. examples of this abound joachim loew gradually built the germans from 2006 until they peaked in 2014. liverpool under kloop, man city under pep. you will also notice that such club owners don't hesitate to sack such managers when they see a drastic drop in quality of team play and results even if the coach won a trophy the previous season. that's why raneiri, di matteo and even our legend late stephen keshi got the axe because their teams were showing decline in output. with rohr i'm seeing steady progress and improvement. people might argue that he is just a klismann or luis aragones type to act as a bridge before a better fit comes in but with the current nff's poor record of choosing adequate coaches i concur with you that we stick to the bird in hand for now charlesemeka85: 1 Like |

the problem with alot of 9ja super eagles fans both here and the outside world is that arrogant belief that we are still the best in africa and deserve to win any competition in the continent without putting into consideration that as we prepare and work to get better so are other footballing nations work to improve a well in the continent many here hate rohr just because he couldn't win the afcon and make it pass the group stage at the last world but failed to remember the state of the team when the german was brought in. before you count to 2 you must start from 1, literally what i am trying to say is that rohr and his team were able to make it to the afcon and finished 3rd in a competition that had 24 teams unlike previous editions where just 16 teams competed after missing back to back editions, qualified for the world cup with a game spare from a group that had Cameroon,Algeria and Zambia. the mentioned achievement were the target given to him by the nff when he was signed and he obviously met all without much stress. another good observation is the team's continuous growth, togetherness and understanding in their style of play judging by the fact that they play more as a unit now with better cohesion and team chemistry. also players are invited on merit and the German doesn't hesitate to drop any player who's level of performance reduces or not active at their respective clubs. this in essence makes the players to sit up for them to remain relevant the rohr, even those who see less playing time in their clubs leave to clubs where they will play more in in order to get back to reckoning in the national team. letting rohr leave is likely to disrupt all this because its likely that the next coach will try to imbibe his philosophy on the players which may take time for them to absorb chrisooblog: |
