I already said he has improved marginally but he is not giving us what was advertised before he got here.

The team build up has been faulty for years and we have kept on buying the wrong players.

There are limits to what a coach can do to improve players. You can’t give what you don’t have.

The main dilemma is not sacking Ole, but getting a manager that will take us back to the top.

This is my main issue. Yes we all know Poch is better than Ole but is that enough reason for him to get the job? I'm not sure. We shouldn't use just a better than Ole metric to assign the job. It has to be the right manager for the club. And your Woodward point is the number issue that has to be addressed.

The Question is; which Manager out there is guaranteed to fix United immediately - if appointed?! I'll rather hope OGS is used to clear the deadwoods in the Squad, lay a solid Foundation for the right Manager to build on, simply by running out his Contract.

I believe that we need to separate the football side from the business side of the club if we want to make progress. Woodward is a brilliant business man and should stick to the business aspect and relinquish all control of the footballing aspect to a DOF. That should be the first step to "getting it right".
While I like OGS for a number of reasons, being a manager is not one of them because I don't believe he has what it takes to take us back to the top. I hope he proves me wrong though.
And like Patrickmuf said, any manager that came in and insisted on playing with this same crop of players while still expecting to get world class performances from them is to be blamed when the inevitable sack comes...

I am watching matchday on Supersport 3 right now and Paul Scholes just corroborated everything I and a few others have been saying. He said we are better off attacking than defending thus he saw no reason why Ole made that sub.
He also said we don't have an identity with regards to the constant changes in formation. For him, there's no reason for us to line up with 3 CBs against Sheffield United irrespective of their current form.
When the talk of missing McTominay came up, he and Sherwood said that the fact we are missing McSauce shows how far the standard has dropped.
