Well, I can't say it's uncalled for. Fans need it, want it, love it. It has been screamed for by fans since after Ironman 2. Fans had wanted her Solo a long time ago, but Disney were too scared to greenlight it since female solo Superheroine movies at the time were ultimate flops.

DC's Wonder Woman proved to everyone Female Solos are profitable so now Marvel joining the bandwagon ASAP not to be outdone or miss out on sweet cash!!! Evident in the needless release of Captain Marvel.
If they could release a solo for a hated comic character comics wise and live action (Brie Larsson), why won't they produce a Solo for a loved character and popular Scar Jo name.

Scar Jo is the main propellant for this movie nothing else, cos she's loved by everyone ever since showing up in the MCU.

Besides it's more or less a prequel. Events before Endgame.

You are helping buttress my points further...Captain marvel and Wonder woman still have stories to tell in future plot lines and movies hence thier origin story was necessary..Black widow ended with Endgame and she's has been appearing in the MCU prior to Endgame, if this movie came out before Infinity war or even Endgame i would have said it's worth the hassle but if it's coming out know it only means disney are prying on fans emotion and "girl power" craze to amass more $$

Nah, Star Wars ain't hitting any rock. Tracking is already putting up a $175-200mn North America debut. That's massive, 2nd highest after Endgame this year. With good word of mouth it could even go up.

It's definitely surpassing $1bn. How Successful or final gross is the main debate. But doesn't look quite poised to dethrone it's predecessors.

Depends. The Witcher is obviously going to lean more on the action see than GOT that was mostly drama with touches of action here and there. I highly doubt they can outmatched GOT's massive battle scenes, though.

We may as well argue that since we know the outcome of rogue one, no need for the movie. Ditto for the star wars prequels. Black widow has a story and some people will love to see it. The conclusion of end game makes no difference. Why do we have better call Saul when breaking bad is concluded?
Why did we have the hobbit(which was a massive stretch of a single book) when LOTR was concluded?

Yeah, I know The Witcher is more action than Drama.
I still think they can very much match GoT's massive battle scenes. They've got the funds for it.

Anyway, me thinks GoT battle scenes are nothing spectacular!! They were good but nah not a �%
The superb thing I loved about it was it's Dragon scenes. They were superb and beautifully made. The Battle scenes especially that Battle of Winterfell was kinda stupid. Putting catapults in front of the army and placing trench behind army, including allowing the whole Dothraki herd to go straight at the undead instead of circling runs around them was immensely stupid.


If critics are going as far as saying it blows GoT fight scenes out of the water then that sums it up. Let's wait and see though, it's only just 2 weeks + away.
