Pls is this inverter Good?
yeah I'll recommend it if you're on a budget. The inverter is so good you won't agree it's modified sine wave at times and it has an inbuilt charger that's very intelligent. And you can be using it and charging your Batts at the same time which is equivalent to ups mode. The power consumption is so low that it save you more 30% on your batt unlike the normal inverter because it's very light weight. The icing on the cake is that it charges with low current even as lows as 100v. The humming sound on fans with coil is not very significant, I've used it for personal use at home and I've used it for commercial purpose in salon office and I confess the inverter is very rugged. I have the normal inverter in my office but any time PHCN light get problems and no hope of light for days I swap with this one to enjoy my batteries for very long time. But make sure every extension you use it with should not be loose and every plug plugged in should not be loose and shaking .

can the inverter be power only by electricity as I don't have solar panels?

Please guys, how long should a fully charged 12volts 100amps battery last with a load of 60 watts.

It was on 13.5v and in less than 3 hours, it was already on 11.9v, this is a new battery, I must add.

Inverter is 1200w.

Ideally it should run for about 8hrs before it drops to 12.1 if we are considering only the 60w load. But remember that the inverter draws some amount of power on its own while it's on.
So if we assume that it draws up to 30w, that will be about 90w total. You should still be able to get about 5.5hrs from the battery.

B4 it gets to 12V right? Let's say 6 hours. I out it in around past 7, b4 10, it was already on 11.9v....I read its bad to continue usage after it dropped to 12v

Yeah...it's not adviseable to use it beyond 50% which is around 12v so that you don't damage the battery.

If it's not lasting long, ensure that it's fully charged. If the issue persists, call the battery seller and see if he can replace it for you.

How will I be sure it's fully charged....?

How do you charge it? From the inverter or through an external charger?

Through a 30amps mppt Solar charger....

It gets full pretty fast, I have a 320watts mono crystalline panel.

Once its on 14v or 13.7v thereabouts, one arrow starts to flicker on the CC

I think the charger is not charging the battery fully.
It should take the battery voltage to between 14.2-14.5v depending on the battery you have (gel, AGM, flooded).
After it has taken the voltage to that 14.5 range, the battery will get full then it will drop it to around 13.7v which is the float charge to keep the battery from self discharging.

When you plug your load on the inverter, the voltage may drop to around 12.7 which is normal. It should then take about 5 hours for it to drop to 12v using your 100ah battery and 60w load as an example.

So I think there might be a problem with charging.
Try checking the setting of your charge controller. Maybe it is set to go into float mode earlier than it should i.e at voltages lower than 14.2-14.5

No, it gets to 14.3, 14.4v then drops to 13.5 or 13.6v

Hmm...unless your load is more than the 60w you stated.
One of your appliances might be drawing more power than stated on the appliance/device.
Or the inverter itself is drawing a lot of power (more than the 30w I assumed)

hello
I bought 200ha Dry Cell [ two pixies ] of new Luminous inverter battery Direct from the Company, But the battery did not last more than ten Month. which I see it as wasting of money

If I use it to power 32inch TV it does not last more than 45minute before it go off

Can someone explain what I don't no about Inverter Battery ?
Because am afraid of going for battery again, Why am thinking of going back to Generator
it could be bad setup/installation by a non professional, ,or the inverter has a bad charging system which can overcharge or undercharge the battery system

Hello guys it seems this an all guys thread. I have been following this thread...Sorry to derail

I need to ask about power surge for my flat screen. I bought one and using it my TV still comes on and off when the light is low and high. I have a century stabilizer 500KVA which was blown before. Should i get it repaired and use with my power surge?
Make una help a sis. Tnks.
Power surge would only prevent excess voltage/current depending on it's specification while stabilizer would try to give out a constant output irrespective of the high/low supply. Get a stabilizer.
