This is the season for TRANSFER SPECULATION l expect to see all kinds of crazy stories.

Chuba Akpom to West Ham seems very unlike to me. West Ham need a a good quality striker that will help turn thier season around not Chuba Akpom.

Unfortunately stranger things have happened. I for NEVER believed that Bournemouth would pay £20 million for Solanke. A player that excelled at youth level but has done nothing in the game.

I know his coaches at Liverpool were even suprised.

I do expect too see some serious bids my multiple clubs for Eberechi Eze outside speculation as well as Oviemuno.

Two media stories of interest with regards to Victor and Tega.

Meanwhile l haven't seen any player do this kind of roundabout on the field of play in a long time.

We should have an award for the most disgraceful skill against a players. This by Ovie is my first selection.

Forget all these English, how can you say he won't make the academy of any EPL club? A player who scored 10 goals at the U-17 WC, no be English academy all these Chong, Saka and other bang average players we dey dey see for EPL graduate from?

This is where we have double standard or maybe we lack understanding.

One iwf my friends came from Nigeria he had played football in Nigeria and national youth level.

I brought him to an EPL academy he chose to watch the U12's not the U23's he was shocked at the level of touch at that age and the training facilities and coaching.

The top academies have players start at age 5/6 by age 9/10 they are training 4/5 times a week including games. Each session is at least 2 hours plus.

"At that time" l watched him play and my opinion was based on comparative standard.

By now you should have noticed a lot of our youth players have deficiencies in thier game when they get to Europe. Not thier fault they did not have the same level of training

Natural ability unquestionably AHEAD but technical ability spatial awareness even touch are questionable. They then have to learn very quickly.

First touch is sometimes everything it's the difference between the best and very good.

Did your friend win best player at the U-17 world cup? Did he score 10 goals in a FIFA tournament? Akpom destroyed youth football in England but see him today he can't even light up Greek league that Ideye was eating for breakfast

Can you please screenshot with the date.

Otherwise it's an infantile and very desperate attempt to MISLEAD and MISREPRESENT.

As you know without context the text is without substance and in context is has an intrinsic link to Time. Remember the phrase " At that time " qualifies a statement it's relevance and substance.

U have exposed your Desperate Dan attempt on a faceless forum to misrepresent the facts.D

the bone of contention was your assertion that Solanke was better than Osimhen at the time when there was no basis yet for such comparisons let alone saying one was better than the other. reason why i put up your quote apart from bants was to show how premature your conclusions on Osimhen were at the time using drawing unfair parallels with Solanke at the time. you judged Osimhen harshly without appreciating that the boy was coming back from a serious knee injury which affects the performances of the best of footballers. you were expecting a young man from africa to come to a tough german league to start performing immediately whether he was settled in or not. even when he went to belgium you mocked him because of his failed trails without appreciating that he was recovering from malaria at the time.

why I'm particular in calling you out on this is because when it comes to your favourite players you are understanding and become their voltron. the ones you don't like wahala. examples of this are too numerous. with Onyedinma he was too loyal to his club, with iorfa the portuguese mafia and wolves had bad belle for him, with chuks aneke injuries, with solanke you stylishly denied backing him saying he was never interested in Nigeria but you mentioned his name then when he seemed on the up and up.

sometimes as a man you can put your hands and say my opinions about this or that player at the time may have been too hasty. unfortunately your ego and desperation not to lose face won't allow you do that. TheGoodjoe backs Iheanacho 100% but was cool when some posters would tease him with his "drills" and "soaking" comments. you are 100% entitled to your opinions but I'm also equally entitled to disagree especially when your assertions contain obvious contradictions.

komekn:

This is DESPERATE DECEPTION some have descended to the bottom of the burned pot to scrape carbon.

Please contend with me on substance and not with infantile misrepresentations.

You posted a screen shot but intentionally omitted the date of the post. Thats intent to mislead and essential fraud.

As we say in football the HERE and NOW. You have sorely DISSAPOINTMENT ME l expected much more from you as an Elder here.

When a text is taken out of context it becomes a CON.

Context is very much time linked. I stand 100% with my view point at that time. That time was over two seasons ago. When Victor was essentially an academy player at Wolfsburg doing NUTTIN.

At that same time l said Chuba Akpom, Tomori Fikayo, Josh Maja and Eberechi Eze were not good enough for the SE. And the latter two unjustified in thier invitation to the SE.

For those of you blinded with negative bias and prejudice. All the players above are what many of you class here as FB. In your attempts to create the principles of tribalism in exclusion of players because they were not born in Nigerian and therefore less NIGERIAN.

They same criticism given to those players l.gave to Osimhen. And it seems he took my advice.

And the COMPLETELY DELUSIONAL HATE MISINFORMATION TAG that l hate all players born in Nigeria and like those born in Europe is a nonsensical proposition with zero substance.

I have said upteen times here, a season is a long time in football and two is history and three is for the archives.

Two seasons ago did anybody believe that Tomori would be a first team player for Chelsea and playing for England ❓ . But that's happened essentially in one good season. Or that Eberechi Eze would be the best player in the Championship ❓ Or that Josh would be the hottest striker in league one ❓

And to think Blueelf announced that we've got him almost with euphoric celebrations simply DELUSIONAL..

That moniker blueeelf has too much excess negative prejudice based baggage to be new here.

charlesemeka85:
Nigerian youngster Samuel Chukwueze has missed out on the Kopa 2019 Trophy, awarded to the best player under the age of 21 by France Football.

At the annual Ballon d'Or ceremony held at at the Theatre du Chatelet, Paris on Monday night, Juventus central defender Matthijs de Ligt won the coveted prize now in its second edition.

A Netherlands international, de Ligt takes over from PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé as the winner of Kopa Trophy.

Chukwueze was on a ten-man shortlist along with Matthijs de Ligt, Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Kai Havertz (Bayer Leverkusen), Lee Kang-in (Valencia), Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid), Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid), Mattéo Guendouzi (Arsenal), Moise Kean (Everton), and Andreï Lounine (Real Valladolid).

The Diamond Academy product broke into the Villarreal first team last season and helped them avoid relegation by scoring 5 goals in 26 appearances in La Liga.

Chukwueze represented Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and became the youngest player to score in the competition after finding the net against South Africa.

The Kopa Trophy was named after Raymond Kopa, who was the first French footballer to win the Golden Ball.

I'm still wondering why Chucks wasn't invited though. He was a nominee, even if he wasn't going to win, courtesy demanded he be invited.

I don't want to believe he was invited and he bunked it undecided

Despite his lack of action and goals, Iheanacho insisted he never considered quitting the King Power Stadium.

“No I am happy here, everyone is happy,” he said. “The manager is a top manager who is friendly to everyone.

“I don’t see the reason why anyone could want to leave. I think he gives everyone chances, there are a lot of games coming up.

“I believe in myself if I get the chance. It happens in football, sometimes you can face trying times or sometimes you can play.

“It is a time I have to face in my life and just have to keep going. I just have to keep my confidence and be strong.”

https://www.completesports.com/iheanacho-praises-top-lad-vardy/

Strong words from Iheanacho. One thing the foxes fans have hammered on is Iheanacho's mental strength. The challenges he faced lately would have weighed him down but the young man took the hits well.

If Iheanacho feels he is at the right place, he has my support but it means he has to work twice as hard as every player in the club to keep developing through training.

He needs to come back stronger and better each time he gets his chances. Wish him the best if he wants to stay. He is man enough to make his decisions.

Bros, I agree that Komekn is very biased and polarized in his views and comments

But these insults aren't necessary. I know you're passionate about the Super Eagles and KC Nacho. We all are but we aren't fanatical fans here. We are respectful and courteous fans. We are loyal fans. We are humble fans. We don't respond to issues with insults. We do so with facts and figures.

This thread is a safe haven for some of us. We come here to chill and relax and relate with one another as unseen family that we are. Not to throw insults up and down. Are you saying that you will Ignore komekn if you were to see him pass by you tomorrow and somehow you find out he is the one? No. Rather, you introduce yourself to him and hug one another. This life na small thing. Nacho dey him house dey lounge (or on training ground working hard to succeed). He no send anybody to quarrel or insult on his behalf na.

It's good that we are calling out Komekn on his continuous inconsistencies and misrepresentations. But please, lets do so courteously. I am happy that Nacho seems to have found his groove and love for the game and I hope he continues this way.

However, enough of all this insults. No one here is perfect but we can all retrace our steps when we err in our words.

I think people are allowed to have diversed opinions and make remarks based on their current beliefs. I think komekn has a bias but I think we all do to some extent.

However, we should kill that belief we are always right because it hinders our ability to learn from others.

We might not agree with some of komekn or each others opinions but we should reduce the backlash. Backslashes can make a person hold back when he has an opinion.

Diverse points is what will keep this thread going on for long time.

Please house, we need to reduce the abuses to appreciate each other.

Finito.

yes i also detest this herd mentality of shouting down differing opinions. I'm a strong believer in using superior logic to win arguments. if the person insists on his or her opinion like you na to jump and pass such comments unless the person makes an obvious gaffe or i want to troll the person.

Yes hurling insults it's uncalled for but how do you control full grown adults on a public forum?

Komekn is also serving his own insults now, even to people that are supporting him.

He will soon quote you and accuse you of emotive bias, amongst other things.

One can make allowance for the occasional insults thrown sporadically here and there because we are human beings but when a sustained barrage of insults is hurled against one person then we should rise up and raise the bar against such.

Howz law school coming up? Should we be expecting a first class from you?

boss Mujtahida good to hear from you grin

yes i also detest this herd mentality of shouting down differing opinions. I'm a strong believer in using superior logic to win arguments. if the person insists on his or her opinion like you na to jump and pass such comments unless the person makes an obvious gaffe or i want to troll the person.

Yes hurling insults it's uncalled for but how do you control full grown adults on a public forum?

Nice to hear from you Bro. We cannot control anyone neither should we put ourselves under such a needless duty. All we need is to respect the code of mutual respect. Granted they'd be slip ups now and then which can be overlooked but when it's getting to toxic levels we need remind ourselves and goodjoe has been unrelenting in that regard. That's the much that can be done while trusting that our better nature's will prevail. Cheers bro

Mujtahida:

I find the gang mentality against komekn puerile and repulsive. It smacks of weakness and cowardice. It has become fashionable to attack him and particularly kellycute and ChrisKels more often than not respond to his posts with disgusting shower of put downs. Yes komekn is infuriatingly biased and unrepentant in his coloured views. Personally most times I just skip past his write ups as I cannot bear his prejudice and sanctimoniousness. However, I still believe that those who chose to engage him can do so without the derisive hurling of epithets and insults. Please the continuous insults directed at komekn should please stop.

Komekn should also be cautioned against raining abuses on people. He's quick to assume he's had superior education to everyone else here, so, hence has the right to call you uneducated cloaked in his sophisticated diction.
