I believe before you request for a ride you will be shown the amount to be charge for the trip. if you're not ok with it you close the app. for you to continue with the transaction that means you're ok with the price. Opay no dey force anyone to pay for ride.

They claimed they were doing some sort of promo 200 naira or so .i decided to try it for the first time .i took it from my office home .normally bike costs me about 400 naira they charged me 1100. And the estimated cost was 550 on the app . When I got home I paid the rider and deleted the app . Even Uber from my office to my house is about 1200.

Same thing happened to me... 1100 was charged for a ride estimated to be between 140-700. If not for enlightenment, I would have fought the rider. Opay isn't very reliable... My last experience, the rider refused cash from me because I didn't have cash on the app... Even when cash is one of the options... Now most of their riders are gradually turning into touts behaving rude.

Opay are aiming to to be what "wechat" is in china, but their prices service seems ridiculous and tends to cater to affluent demographics. ordering for food worth 500 naira, and pay 300 naira for delivery cost. Its just unsustainable. They should watch out soon, more competitors on these field are on the way. They seems to enjoy a monopoly now.

A normal bike man will carry two passengers but only u on one.
