For your information, the Nigerian masses have always suffered unjustified and avoidable poverty foisted on them by the ruling class and that is the case till date. Now there is impunity as well as brazen shamelessness but if e stop and think of the root causes, we will not be so quick to blame the victims of wicked leadership.

I agree with you. This act is one of the symptoms of this system of govt we run, where there’s no accountability and the system is skewed to favour some class of people and any attempt to change the status quo will be met with hard and stiff resistance.

Government should start at from the community level to the local government to state level to federal level... and not the other way round as we have today. We don’t even know ourselves in terms of identity talkless of knowing what someone is up to. If there’s a structure at community/local govt level, every citizen within such localities will know he/she is a stake holder that’ll contribute to the progress and safety of such area... what we have now is every man for himself.

And without meaning any hate speech or offence, the perpetrators of these things are from the SE. You can hate me, it does not matter. As we speak now, they are melting down stuff at owode onirin.
It is not poverty driving this. It is greed, some wickedness and full blown lack of social conscience (I dont care).

Nah
The ruling class were once one of the masses.
Many of the members of the masses know what the ruling class does. They are close to them and they don't care as long as they get something to 'eat'.
Nigerians are the problems of Nigeria.

I said it

All the barriers Gov Ambode built to reduce traffic, so Yellow buses would not be stopping to pick passengers on the road were all made of strong metals, but at midnight, same Lagosians damage them. Go around from Ikorodu Road, to Adekunle, to Maryland, they're all destroyed.

I heard also that the Lagos Badagry Express Way being constructed is regularly being damaged at night by those boys that hawk goods, so there can be traffic congestion, for them to sell stuff to road users.

We are not ready for development in Nigeria.

Take all Nigerians to UK, come back in 6 months time, UK would be as bad as NIGERIA. But bring all British Citizens here and see transformation that would happen in few months.

We need mind revolution, not street revolution
Nigerians are terrible set of people to deal with

FG and States should learn to invest in their people. You can't be constructing infrastructure without improving the welfare and literary of the people.

The dwindling economic opportunities and deteroriating economic situation in the country must be addressed if any project is to be successful

contradiction, constructing infrastructure is directed towards improving welfare of the people. Let's stop using poverty as an excuse for the criminal tendencies of our people. Greed and shortcut to wealth is the major issue of our people.

Those who stole the clips and bolts are well informed and knowledgeable, it will take mechanics[most of them are not that poor as you think] or very technical guys to do this stealing.

I also suspect the NURTW guys cos they are about to loose big time when the Lagos-Ibadan railway route becomes very functional as most folks will rather go by train to Ibadan rather than go by those rickety interstate buses

Subsistence Farming is not quality human capital.
That is why famine and hunger is still rife in the North even with all their farming.

The poverty and education disparity between the north and the south is like day and night.

According to the world bank, if you remove the north from Nigeria, the south is a middle income economy.
But with the north, Nigeria slides down to the poverty capital of the world, as a result of poor human capital.

If you can't see the difference in the quality of human capital and how it has shaped the north and the south, then I can't help you.

Go and worship buhari. That should be easier than thinking rationally.
When he mentioned the farming going on upnorth as part of human capital development, for a moment I reassessed my mission here but decided to continue.
NL is really a dumpsite.

The Nigerian government has raised alarm concerning the stealing and replacing of clips, bolts and knots on the Lagos/Ibadan rail line.

Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Fidet Okhiria, said 5,000 clips and 10,000 bolts as well as knots had been replaced along the rail track.

Mr. Fidet said, “You can’t imagine that between Lagos and Ibadan, we have replaced over 5,000 clips and close to 10,000 bolts and nuts on the track and it is not a good thing at all.

“Without those things on the tracks, accidents can occur.

“We know the volume of passengers on a train. So vandalism of rail infrastructure has to stop.”

He added that government would still go ahead to extend the Lagos-Ibadan line to Kano in three years.

The Nigerian government has in the past 10 years sunk over 4 billion dollars in its railway sector with the hope of reviving and sustaining the sector.

Government should as a matter of urgency set up a patrol team on that corridor, with a shoot at site other to anyone found of vandalism on that track. Too bad
