ASUU: AGF Is Frustrated Over IPPIS Enrollment Failure by sinkhole: 4:35am On Dec 05, 2019 |
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has described the Accountant General of the Federation as a frustrated ‘account clerk’ over the refusal of ASUU members to enrol into the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System. ASUU revealed that the AGF had in a letter dated 2 December 2019 and signed by Ahmed Idris, advised some Vice-Chancellors who are yet to enrol on the IPPIS to do so on or before 6 December failure of which will attract appropriate sanctions. The union condemns the Accountant General of the Federation for threatening to sanction Vice-Chancellors who have refused to enrol into what it called ’fraud platform’. The Chairman University of Ibadan Chapter of ASUU, Professor Deji Omole stated that it was unfortunate that Vice Chancellors have become errand boys that will now be threatened by an ‘account clerk’. According to Omole, “the threat against VCs was an indication of the massive failure being recorded by the government with lecturers not enrolling into the system.” Omole stated that it is unfortunate that the likes of Ahmed Idris whose office have continued to extort public University Bursars via unlawful kickbacks is the one claiming he wants to use IPPIS to ensure transparency and accountability. The ASUU boss who hailed some Vice-Chancellors who refused to be enslaved added that woe to a nation where intellectuals become errand boys to those who cannot pass ICAN. “It is a very sad development for any nation having the likes of Idris as the chief accountant of the nation. It takes someone with scholarship to appreciate scholars.” Omole stated maintained that the Union has made useful suggestions to the federal government but stated that Nigerian intellectuals would not be turned to errand boys of corrupt civil servants. https://tribuneonlineng.com/ASUU-agf-is-frustrated-over-ippis-enrollment-failure/ See the AGF letter here: https://www.nairaland.com/5564464/ippis-accountant-general-issue-ultimatum

sinkhole: The Vice Chancellors refusing to sign into the IPPIS are the real fraudsters (yahoo yahoo). The IPPIS platform will block their corrupt earnings which have been one of the key challenges faced by the Country. Provided corrupt practices being perpetrated by the Vice Chancellors, Rectors, Headmasters is uncovered into the public eyes, Nigerians will be shocked to know one of the reasons why Education have been so so ineffective in the country. ASUU, the Union started to help progress tertiary education in Nigeria is it's Curse. AGAIN, the Buhari led Administration can be labeled the Government of "the Good & the Bad". 5 Likes 1 Share |

One valid observation from ASUU is the failure of FG to enroll CBN, FIRS, NDIC, NNPC, and Presidency on IPPIS while pushing the 'talakawas' onto the platform. 16 Likes 1 Share |

This IPPIS and ASUU of a thing is a clear definition of a failed system. Infact ASUU should give up already as reliable information filtering in said some members from University of Calabar and University of Nigeria are already registering on the platform. |

And AGF begged you to help him seek help. Useless professors that cannot produce ordinary match stick. The first pencil, ordinary pencil ooo, the first company producing this in Nigeria was opened like two years back. The only thing the useless professors know how to do is rig election for politicians and sleep with their grandchildren's age mates who are their students. Buhari will not shift ground. Ask his wife Aisha, ask Sambo Dasuki, ask El-Zakzaky, ask Sowore. Enrol for IPPIS or go and look for another job. We even want to change you old fools and bring in young MSc and PhD holders.

Re: ASUU: AGF Is Frustrated Over IPPIS Enrollment Failure by TGM2015: 7:29am On Dec 05, 2019 |
Temptee101: Kampack:The difference is revenue generating agencies and core aim of making profit. FIRS, NNPC, CBN are revenue generating agencies and we're established for the purpose of making profit. Hence, they are mandated to remmit profit. Public Universities (ASUU), Army, Navy, Police, Hospitals, etc are public services institutions/agencies established with the sole aim of providing public services. They are expected NOT to make PROFIT, hence they do remit to the government. 1 Like |

TGM2015: There are also laws establishing universities including university autonomy act. All staff of nnpc , cbn, firs are also civil servants. Buhari directive affects all mda including revenue generating parastatats. ASUU has good points. 5 Likes |
