You know what time it is, It’s PPR Time. Whoop Whoop. Hillsong’s So Will I: God of Your promise, You don't speak in vain, No syllable empty or void, For once You have spoken, All nature and science, Follow the sound of Your voice. I used to wonder why people who got PPR used to say, wait I will come back with the full gist. Omo to write this thing no easy o. I started writing mine in the month of AOR (June 2019) by Faith. I kept editing it. KADOSH! I heard about EE in 2017 when my family friend told me about it. In my mind, I said my destiny is in Nig. Another time, my mom came back home, looking solemn and told me about people she knew whose kids had gone. I told her I was not interested, my mama was worried as to why I would be so disinterested, owing to the fact, that I schooled abroad. She was beginning to think say dey don jazz me. In Sept 2018, I got a new job where my new colleagues told me about it again. It was like I had an epiphany and I made up my mind to do it. Prayed and swung into action immediately. I had come across this thread but didn’t even know what it was. I started following this thread in part 8, 2 weeks after I got ITA. Timeline: NOC: 1111 (Financial Auditors and Accountants), this my NOC sweet to call. Haaaaaa. CRS: 478 (ITA Draw, 450) ECA: 25 January 2019 IELTS: 5 January 2019: LRWS: 8.5, 6.5, 6.5, 7.5- IDP 9 February 2019: LRWS: 7.5, 7, 7, 7.5- IDP 6 April 2019: LRWS: 8.5, 8.5, 7, 8- BC ITA: 1 May 2019 AOR: 5 June 2019, Single Applicant (but I had the Trinity as well, GOD the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) MEP: 13 July 2019 BIL: 16 July 2019 (got it that day and completed it that day, No time to check time) PPR: 13 Dec 2019 VO: Ottawa Now assume it is 6:30 pm on Sunday, Tune into your NTA for Tales by Moonlight (Story)- 80s/90s kids can relate. ECA Thank GOD for my younger sister who advised me to do this first while studying for IELTS (wise young lady). Created my WES profile 25.10.2018. Paid 15.11.2018 and requested for transcript that same day. Transcript got to WES 05.01.2019. ECA came out on 25.01.2019 (Evaluated UK Foreign MSc Only) IELTS I said if I did this exam once and failed, I would know it’s a sign from GOD not to continue but I went on to write 3x. Buhahahaha. This life no easy o. Man proposes and GOD disposes. I believe GOD strengthened me coz I’m still shocked I wrote this exam thrice. Something to note here, from the onset, I had a gut feeling to write with BC but because of the cost differential and I had heard people passed better, I went with IDP, guess what, it was when I did BC that I passed. Lesson: Go with your gut feelings, I believe it is the spirit of GOD guiding us. Jan 5: LRWS: 8.5, 6.5, 6.5, 7.5- IDP Feb 9: LRWS: 7.5, 7, 7, 7.5 (Omo, I cried small for this one)- IDP Created my CIC profile on the 17.03.2019 by Faith in anticipation of the next IELTS I was going to write. Apr 6: LRWS: 8.5, 8.5, 7, 8 (I can’t still believe I got these scores, I remember telling my family Easter Week, that that Good Friday was either going to change my life, or it will remain the same). I used Ieltsliz at first but left it (her face was annoying me like it was fake) and just used her speaking method. For listening, I youtubed Cambridge listening 6 to 13 and I did all (a friend told me about this, i.e Youtube). For reading, I watched two videos on skimming and TFNG (Viola, I got how to answer TFNG questions). Here are the links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0ePX99GM70&t=15s & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNyLs7YWFL8). I later used Cambridge reading as it was very similar to the main exam. I used ieltstestonline.com as well for reading but I found the questions too similar and a bit basic, besides I didn’t want to do CBT for which I think it’s the best medium to use. For the almighty writing, Jay E2 came to the rescue (thank GOD for another friend who told me about him. Besides he is a delight to look at…so handsome so learning was fun as well). I learnt the structure and that was it, got a hang of writing. YAYYYYY!!!!!!!. I also used Jay’s PPF (past, present and future) format for task 2 in speaking, helped me fill in the 2 mins task. I can never forget the day I saw my result. When it comes to checking results, I am always a scaredy-cat, I tell family members to check for me (I’m too young for a heart attack). So at around 7am, my sister checked and hugged me immediately, I knew I had made it. When I picked up my phone to check and confirm, I jumped. Hugged her and my mom. My mom ran and woke my dad up. We come dey jubilate..Hayyy!!!, we come dey celebrate…Hayyy!!!!...It was a perfect Easter gift for me (us). ITA When ITA came, it was one of my IELTS friends who told me I would get it based on my CRS score. I didn’t even know what pool or tie-breaker was, (the only pool I know is swimming pool or Kendrick Lamar’s song), or the days ITA came out. All I know be say I don update my profile. It was in the evening of May 1st I logged into my profile and saw ITA…Haaaaa… Once again na congratulations and dance follow for my house. My sister high fived me and said you are the type of elder sister one should have. Inspirational. That comment just burst my brain. PCC I had to start working on this immediately because I had 3. UK PCC Did this and put delivery address to my friend in the UK. I heard it makes it easier/cheaper/faster which is true. My application was stopped because my proof of current address (NEPA/ AEDC Bill) had my dad’s name on it as I live with my parents. I had to send my employment offer letter showing my name and address. Took me 3 weeks but I’m sure it was because of the hiccup. After it was ready, PCC got to my friend the next day and she scanned it to me. Fee 45 pounds Lesson: Make sure your proof of current address has your name on it. UAE PCC This one surprised me. It took 2 days because I had an Emirates ID when I resided in the country. This helped me bypass going to the embassy and the Nigerian police for fingerprints, confirmation and sending the docx back to Dubai. Fee AED 320 ($ 88) Lesson: If you know anyone living in the UAE, tell them to get an Emirates ID for it helps in the future (I think it is retrieved when leaving the country, coz I don’t have a physical copy again). Having this card save me time and money. Nig PCC: Did it at Louis Edet House, Police HQ, Abuja. I no know say police anything fit fine, the place and people look fine jare. Walked into the building, someone at the gate helped direct me to the Crime Unit. Took 2 days as it had to be sent to the great Alagbon for processing. Fee N10,000 (I tried to bargain, no show) Passport: To be honest, I am not too sure about this one. I submitted all stamped pages of all my passports both current and expired over the last 10 years. I have seen that only the current one is needed but I’m still not clear on it. Employment Referees: I had worked in 3 places in 3 years so I needed 3 letters. The 1st 2 were easy to get. The last one was headache. Shout out to @MrPein, @Stencil and @Jennypharb1 who answered me on the 17th of May. I can never forget these 3 and I remember them because they were my comforters and I could not sleep that night. I was having issues getting the last letter because I was still under a year and had not been confirmed in my current employment. With a friend’s advise, I took the bull by the horn and went straight to my MD to request this letter. GOD did it for me. I did not want to imagine adding docx upon docx to prove this which could lead to an ADR. I am still amazed at my boldness to meet the MD, anyway, GOD helps us in the times of need. POF: All these years wey I don dey work. Omo e no easy, money slow to enter, money quick to go, where money dey go, I no know (in MI’s voice). Shingbai, we no get get. My Dad and Uncle saved me plus my small savings to beef it up for exchange rate movements at least. I put it in FBN Money Market Account. Got the gift deed format from Nairaland and got it notarized for free by our town’s man who is a lawyer. He said he did it because of my father, you see how children reap good fruits from their “good” parents?. Medicals: I booked a month before at IOM Abuja, I was #3 on the list, but the attendance was on 1st come basis so I ended up being #33. I was there at 8am and stayed till 2pm. I went to Calabar Aroma as suggested by @ifeoma77 I think, ate correct poundo yam with Banga and Maltina while praising GOD for everything because this was my last major process. Lesson: if you want to be fast about medicals, go early as it is on 1st come, 1st serve basis. I’d suggest you block out the entire day. Ghost Updates: Got a ghost update after MEP/BIL, which was normal. On the 26th of July, I dreamt I had gotten PPR mail, woke up and saw another ghost update, I smiled with a lil tear and said GOD is wonderful in the way HE communicates with us. Haaaaaaaaaaa. Of course I kept praying because in the end Prayer is the Master Key. Post AOR: I told myself that I wasn’t going to check my profile every day, I would just let it be. A week to my 6 month mark, a friend advised me to raise a CSE to know what’s up as VOs may forget applications. Raised it and got info that my VO was Ottawa. The response was generic. In general, I just continued with work and life, checked my CIC profile regulary: once or twice a week at the beginning and once every day or 2 days towards the 6 month mark for ghosts. After 6 months elapse last week, I stopped checking regularly as I hope it would come soon. I wasn’t in any whatsapp group as well. You guys in whatsapp groups, I hail thee. Una get mind, me I like my peace o. I even started scrolling on the Nairaland thread looking for just PPR posts as opposed to reading every post. I helped a little on this forum and as some of you may know, advocated for extra research to be done by people. Personally, I am already used to waiting for major events (offers, exam results etc), so never did I worry about my application or have palpitations but to be honest, the past 2 weeks got me anxious. I had raised another CSE on Tuesday and expected a reply on Friday, the PPR turned out to be the reply. Just saw it this morning as my phone was switched off. It has come last night at about 11pm…It was another round of celebration. Thanks to all the contributors here. I return all glory to our GOD. Documents Submitted PCC: UK, UAE, Nigeria Educational Qualification: I submitted my ECA, IELTS, MSC, BSC, ACCA, ICAN because I had shown all these in my personal history over the past 10 years. POF: Bank Official Letter, Bank Statement for a year and Notarized Gift Deed. Medicals: The form given at the hospital. Photo: Taken at Studio 24 like I read on Nairaland. Chai, this photo no fine sef. My friend said I looked like a footballer. I even started seeing myself as a light skinned version of Caster Semenya (No offense but I did look like her). I hear it’s the new photo submitted at PPR they use for the visa. I hope so. Let me look flyer abeg. Proof of Work Exp: Three, one-paged letters for each work. I used ilovepdf.com in merging and rearranging files. P.S: In my EE profile, I had included my NYSC experience and university internship under work experience but removed it while filling the PR section as I wasn’t going to claim points for work experience. In my personal history, I just explained that NYSC was a one-year national mandatory program. Message: It amazes me when people ask and ask questions about medicals, POF, ECA etc, when you can go to their website, call, make inquiries, do research….and inherently read this thread well. A lot of us are too lazy to get information, we want to be spoon-fed, it’s just sad…plain sad/annoying but it’s the truth. @Enculer @Enculer2 @AryaEgugu wanted to chop me off one time encouraging needless questions. Funny enough, I didn’t see y’all answering peoples enquiries (The irony). I hope y’all read and learnt from @LadyMarshall’s and @G4lady’s PPR scripts. We like to drink from people, forgetting these people also put in so much work to know all that they know. This increases the efficacy of the thread. No one knows it all. It’s all a cumulation of work done. I got most of my information from my personal research, sought out confirmation by asking the few friends who were doing it and watching Kubeir’s videos (follow his youtube channel and facebook group- Very Helpful). You can also check out https://www.justforcanada.com/. I have said earlier on this thread, it is your future, so invest ample time in it, many of us are very busy but we have to fight and be tenacious for what we really want. To everyone in one stage or the other, keep the hope alive, I pray for strength from GOD for you. As long as you didn’t falsify info, it will come. Be still and know that GOD is GOD. See you at the top. @yemblaze and @bankyh1905 (CONGRATULATIONS. WOHOO!!!) I have submitted my script for marking. Thank you. Shalom. 90 Likes 22 Shares |

Guys, please I wrote ielts earlier this year, and passed, but the passport I used then just expired. I have started processing another one to use for my application. I hope this won't have any implications, since the ID on the ielts result is from the old passport? |
