It all started when he completely watered down his content to meaningless gibberish.
Olamide used to have a lot of content during his days of Durosoke and Awon goons. Lol.

He suddenly dropped to the likes of Wo and became more vulgar.
Not every fan appreciates extreme vulgarity.

I don't even have a single Olamide song on my Playlist anymore.
However, he has had many years at the top. That can be considered as successful, as he belongs to a very elite group of artistes to last that long.
Credits to him too for bringing up so many guys.

Definitely a Legend!

You can't make such definitive statements in this internet and streaming era.
Its easier to be relevant now and I still believe he will come back.

He's a business man that I admire, instead of pandering to everyone, he found his own audience and stuck to them.

That move afforded him a very strong core fan base than the one enjoyed by artistes more known than him.

All he has to do know is flip the switch again and everyone runs back to him again. He has done that repeatedly enough to believe in his Resurrection

Olamide has achieved quite a lot and no doubt he is a great talented Artist who has contributed immensely to the music industry.

However, Olamide has failed to realise that things are changing in the music industry. If you check out the lyrical contents being released these days by new artists they do less vulgar or explicit contents. People want to listen to new sounds not really noisy and shake your yansh kinda songs.

These days people pay attention to lyrics and how meaningful they are... most especially the sounds ...

Did Olamide truly lose this year ? For me Olamide gained most of fans with his style of rap and constructive rap punchline .While dropping hit rap songs he stays highly respected in his own lane and headlining many top shows back then working with ID Cabasa a producer that he baddo listens too. What went wrong ? Olamide discover the commercial songs is more marketable he dived into commercial songs and forgot the rap thing obviously some fans that loves him for the rap style were not really happy but he was happy for himself . At this stage he moved from an artiste commanding his on lane to someone competing with Wizkid and Davido also at this stage he work with producers he can control . In summary apart from music Olamide is now into real estate, oil and gas business and his record label is doing wonderfully well. For me success is not defined by what you have alone but who you made to be successful. Adekunle Gold ,Lil kesh,Temmy ovashie,Chinko ekun,Lyta and Fireboy DML can never forget Olamide in a hurry .Olamide we your rap fans is seriously thirsty for a rap year come 2020 ooo again do you have totori on your playlist ID cabasa ft Olamide and Wizkid .Dude still gat the rap game lock down baba just won secure the back lol

I wouldn't say he is dying but rather focusing on being more of a businessman to Ybnl as we can see how he is pushing dml and how good his album is when you have a record label you would have to add these things in

Davido and Wizkid are eating fame. Baddoh hands down is the most relevant artist of the decade.

You can invite Olamide to a concert today and he will still headline the show with HITS as Oil & Gas, Pawon without singing songs from previous years; a feat that your raving artists cannot even boast.

You open your mouth and compare Zlatan that will fade away with "Gbe body e" with an iconic Badoo. Shoki has come, and gone with lil kesh but Badoo is still here.

Badoo released Pawon and Oil and gas this year, wetin Wizkid or Davidson release this year or even 2018?

Looking at the recent trend of things in the music industry, it looks like Olamide Adedeji popularly called Olamide Badoo is no more bad again as an artiste. Most especially in 2019 that is about to come to an end, it feels like his career is going to end with the year.

Olamide Badoo is an amazing artiste no doubt, he has done so well for himself as an artiste, as a businessman in music, has helped several people but it looks all that is about to become a history judging by the recent happenings, maybe it’s just that his season as an a-list artiste has ended.

Olamide came into the industry with a track titled ‘Eni Duro’, this track shook the music industry and he almost immediately rose to become one of the most sought after musician in Nigeria. He immediately continued with ‘Omo To Shan’ featuring Wizkid, both were everyone’s favourite at this time and this contributed to the success of the song. Olamide later got the name Young Erikina, he released songs and he became a household name in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Olamide, since then , has released hit songs back to back, has done several shows which were sold out, raised the likes of Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Chinko Ekun, YBNL Princess, Lyta, Picazzo Rap, Yomi Blaze, Fireboy DML to mention a few, even after having so many artistes to look after, Olamide still got time to release hit songs.

However, 2019 has not been a good year for the artiste, although traces of this were seen in 2018 but they weren’t so obvious as 2019. Olamide used to compete with the likes of Davido, Wizkid, other top artistes but now, an artiste that just came up yesterday is being talked about and listened to than Olamide Badoo.

In 2019, One can count the amount of songs Olamide released, unlike past years when Olamide released Albums almost every years, he didn’t release any this year, he only released singles that almost didn’t pass the roof of the studio where they were recorded.

It’s not enough to do music, one need to have a concrete plan to enable him or her enjoy longevity in the music industry because so many artiste come up every day and there is need for one to be strategic to ensure relevance for a long time.

Olamide has enjoyed fame on merit ever since but has done little to enjoy longevity. As much as people wants to dance, people get tired sometimes and wants to listen to something that has great meaning. Taking a look at 2face, Banky W, these people can’t release a song today without people getting to know it, they are legends already, their sound is unique and they have a very good line of lyrics but Olamide released some tracks which include Woske and Pawon this year and it was just short of expectation for some people.

The vulgar languages, even on his instagram page, some people had to unfollow him due to the content he was posting to promote the songs, he began posting ladies dancing naked, shaking their butt and his page was almost looking like a porn site. People believe things like this should occur with an upcoming artiste who is looking for attention not someone who has gotten the attention already.

Olamide didn’t win any notable award this year, he didn’t make any notable achievement this year and next year isn’t looking like a glorious one for him, looking at this, Olamide might never recover from the death of his career, however, I wish him well.

It baffles me how people sit down and make verdicts on others career. U r even projecting into his future. He has been the most consistent artist since 2011, the fact that he didn't have a great year doesn't mean his career is over. Messi wasn't in the top 4 the year modric won the ball ballon d or, u probably thought messi career was over too.

In 2017/2016 I thought exactly the same thing of olamide...
Then the next thing I heard was
WO!
since then it's been glorious... Wo! Motigbana, welcome, oke suna, woske, oil and gas, Bam Bam with timaya, buga small small, Gobe with pheelz, kpakujemu with westsyde, live life, logba logba, poverty die, puna, science student, shibinshi with DJ enimoney,
Send her money with DJ enimoney, Totori with ID cabasa, logo Benz with Lil kesh. What else can a man do to satisfy you people? I didn't like pawon or choko Milo but when I hear some of the classics like those listed above I smile and I am content. He has done so much what else is left?
By the way Google just ranked 3 olamide songs on the most searched songs in Nigeria list
Pawon, woske, oil and gas
Davido-2
Wizkid-2
Teni_2
Burna boy-1

What's all this about someone being irrelevant? People have their time and it's very unfair to use the expression "irrelevant" on an artist who's already making way in the industry. A better thing to say would be "not in his prime".
