The voting from both sides was majorly partisan, except dissenting votes from a few radicals

OfficialAPCNig:

Yes, the most partisan in the history of USA.

It will be buried at the Senate

That the Republican party dominates the US Senate does not mean he won't be impeached.

Donald Trump has locked horns with almost everyone, including a sixteen year old climate activist. He doesn't take advise, he has destroyed many careers because he is very impulsive. Many capable hands have left his government. He is too volatile and his buffoonery is quite unique.

I am sure the old foxes like Senator Mitch McConnell would have been tired of him but won't publicly admit it, because Trump is now a political liability. This impeachment, whether ratified by the US Senate or not, would impact on the Republican party in the next elections. Many risk losing their seats if Trump is acquitted. I suspect some disenchanted Republicans may ask for a secret ballot so no one knows who voted for what. And in the not so unlikely event that that happens, the impeachment would be ratified.

You have a point there

The fact is, Donald Trump is the first President of the United States to be impeached in first tenure in office.

stop dreaming, you need a 2/3 majority in the Senate to remove Trump and currently the Republicans control the Senate and Trump has 90% approval ratings among Republican voters, what this means is that there's no way he's being removed except in the general elections comes 2020 as 98% of all elected Republican federal legislators have publicly declared support for him (all Republican Congressmen voted against impeachment yesterday). In fact his popularity has increased in recent days and there's a chance he might win 2020 election

Your question shows you equally have the same amount of grey matters with Bubu. He has been impeached, but impeachment does not mean removal from office. Only the senate can try and remove him from the office.

Whites Americans have hope and a better country because they built and worked for it. They even laid down lives right from their independence (when the fought the British people with guns) to both world wars. What have blacks built? We blacks are selfish and greedy cowards that would rather run to already established societies instead of paying the price to build a society that our descendants can benefit from. I say whites have hope because it's a fact.

If not for Trump and The Republican Party, present day Democrats would be running USA and ruining it down to it's minute fabrics. They would have introduced socialism (which they cunning call "democratic socialism" and mind you socialism always degenerate to communist dictatorship), open borders (thereby devastating the working class, causing serious cultural clashes, and eroding the identity and values of America), and suppress free speech and free expression. No human being really wants to live in Liberal utopia. Already, in future Europe, whites are going to be a minorities in the civilization they built thanks to permanent change in demographic brought about by uncontrolled mass immigration (open borders). Liberalism is cancer.

I happy that Trump can't be removed. The democrats are wasting their time.

Do you expect the Republican legislators to publicly say they'd work against their President? Nancy Pelosi and her gang have refused to send the impeachment documents to the Senate because the Senate Majority leader has not agreed to modalities of the Senate vote. So my question to you is: if the voting is secret ballot, would Donald Trump survive the impeachment? That is the import of my argument.

just like Pelosi and her crew are risking not getting re elected. You think what the media and Co are posting reps the view of an average American. They are all selfish politicians. Despite all the slander against trump in 2016 I thought Clinton will win with a landslide but instead she lost. If trump ends up no getting removed the democrats will turn to a laughing stock. And will lose majority of their seats come next election

I agree with you, especially on the selfishness of politicians. I admire Donald Trump for his resilience and surviving many battles including the 2016 elections and the Stormy Daniels case. Those who fight him seem to fade into oblivion or end up in prison or even shamed. However, Donald Trump has a VERY volatile temperament. He talks too much and seems very petty. However, he seems favoured (we cannot discountenance this), and I would say he should have the mannerism of a Mike Pence, and stop fighting everyone. My point is that if the voting is secret ballot, the Republican Party machinery may decide to sacrifice him to protect themselves and their seats in future elections.

Even though Trump survives this impeachment, it would take a toll on the Republican Party in next year's elections if he chooses to contest.

why would they be ashamed of the man that made them win the seat in the first place. All the people trump supported in the last election all won while Obama's men all lost 4 of his supported candidates. What does that tell you? The senators will never lose their seats because they supported trump in this impeachment rather the democrats should be wary of losing their seats due to witch hunting and one sided judgment without evidence. His fanbase will increase increase sympathy.

he will. This has been a mistake in my opinion because Democratic controlled house could not even get all their members to support this move and there's no way 15 Republican senators will vote against Trump secret ballot or not.

Let's watch and see how it plays out. His victory would be an indication that populism would dominate future US elections. But you do agree that the accusations against Donald Trump are weighty enough for him to lose his political capital, don't you? The only failure I see here is that Nancy Pelosi and her gang did not penetrate the Republican ranks to make the impeachment a moral one. It is on this plank that the Republican Senators would publicly denounce the impeachment.

the accusations against him are baseless. Imagine, abuse of power and obstruction of congress like what da heck? First of all there's no evidence against him, the Ukrainian president a vindicated him saying no pressure of any sort ( whether true or lie) but he has made a speech so his opinion should be accepted.
How come the impeachment only came on the abuse of power? What happened to obstruction of congress?
Of course it's high time the real ordinary people gets to decide how the government should be run instead of selfish and corrupt elites corrupting the media with bias.
What Happened to the whistle blower requested by the Republicans? Why should white house agreeing on releasing already biased, bought over and sham of ex appointees who are still pissed with being relieved of their duties to come and testify against their most hated boss?
This case will die faster in the senate than ever. Demo rats just secured a political own goal.

I think "hope" is an understatement or inappropriate word for a race that already had almost everything if not all compared to the black race, what you & i shuld worry about is our hope, instead of celebrating a white man whose plans, does not include you why not lend your voice to a course that can make ur race great or beta tew.
America as always been ruled by republicans and the last time a democrat ruled which was obama we didnt see america switch to socialism,so you don't av a point, most of the things you are saying are just what you think, obama took over america @ the point of recession n he successfully brought america out of recession, was it not a republican(bush)that plunged dem to recession.
