Why is everyone behaving like this is the first refinery in the nation. If not for stupidity, why will a nation with over 2 refinery jumping over a private business 3 Likes |

Nigeria we hail thee! So everyone now identifies with a private initiative. To me Yaradua failed this country by reversing the sale of our moribund refineries to the same Dangote and others. Who knows where we would have been if that decision was not taken? 3 Likes |

You do not really admire it until you folks go and do likewise! It actually stands as a testimony to your ineptitude and corrupt ways. It would certainly cost a lot more and be poorly done by way of inflated figures if it were government constructing it! The failed government refineries are there to see as proof! Lalong of Plateau and Okezie of Abia specially fit the mould created by my post. Lalong spends most of his quality times in Abuja doing what no one really knows while Okezie incompetence is written all over Aba and Abia State where kerosene distribution is his Forte! 2 Likes |

Dangote is committing a lot in this project. My concern is the relevance of fossil fuel in the next 15-20 years. Instead of touring the refinery every now and then by Government officials, they should look forward and initiate a project on clean energy. It's the future wether we like it or not. 1 Like |

Skyfornia:Is not mainly on petrol, even diesel will continue to sell for a long time, construction companies or highly powered machines still uses diesel, even if cars go pass electric or what so ever it will use oil, and this are one of their main production, before you say this they have done their work to, they know what they are doing. 2 Likes |

helinues: Because imbalances in the economy made it possible to make money by investing in risk less treasury bills. If I can place a billion naira and earn 140m upfront without leaving my couch why would I start a long term business filled with all types of risk. Why would I start a long term project that a new administration would inherit? Now that those rates are coming down the first issue - riskless profit will be solved and money will start going into areas like this.to solve the second issue of short term one administration thinking ( the one that leads governors to open bore holes and display keke napeps) we need to review the tenure of NASS members and insist that there will be no federal funding for new projects until the old ones are completed and certified fit for use by one of our top 5 consulting firms ( KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Ernest and young- here are jobs oh) |

No shame whatsoever. Between all the governors, there is enough looted funds to build multiple refineries, roads and schools and enough left to give them all good salaries and bonuses. |
