you mean those conduits to siphon money?how come the existing general hospitals them were left to rot?

Come on, let's put sentiments aside (didn't mean this as an insult).

Citing the general hospitals the way he did is a GREAT idea. Even Lagos has such general hospitals in several parts of the state, that's aside LASUTH (state owned) at Ikeja, and LUTH (not state owned)

Imo state's teaching hospital can't handle all cases of illnesses in the state. What about the deaths that'll occur while transferring patients from several local governments to the hospitals... Will the facilities provided and medical personnels there be able to handle the huge cases?

That's why I feel he did a great job with the hospitals, let Ihedioha put pride aside n complete them.

B2mario, thanks for your question to him

Thanks for this o. I wonder why no one is talking about the general hospitals Rochas built in almost all local governments in Imo state.

If talk on Imo state is not about Owerri, few persons devote interest. Owerri people full everywhere because they profited and profit from having all 6 tertiary education institutions in Imo state all massed up in Owerri. Even a most poor person from Owerri zone thus obtains higher education subsidized by govt. Mass education for people of Owerri zone is the result.

Leaders from Orlu zone don't seen to understand the importance of nearness to tertiary education institution.

Till today, Orlu leaders watch Owerri people covet all 6 govt universities and polytechnics in Imo state to remain in Owerri. Imopoly is closest to Owerri.

Even to remove Imo state university which has no permanent site in Owerri to Orlu zone, no way by Owerri people. Excess greed in the blood vessels of a group in Imo state.
The group has no consideration whatsoever for Okigwe and Orlu zones.

So very fewer people from Orlu area have access to the advantages of nearness to tertiary education institutions.
That's why every discourse on Imo state which is not about Owerri is like a no go area for most people who are from Owerri.

The general hospitals are not all located in Owerri, that's why those of them not located in Owerri zone may crumble before long.

General hospitals are different from primary and tertiary hospital. Okorocha did not make much mistake in building the 27 General hospitals, only that general hospitals are not usually heavily equipped like teaching or specialist hospital in Orlu and Owerri respectively.

Hmmm, good question. I think this was one of the points Kikake was trying to raise few months back when he complained about the neglect of IMSUTH in Orlu, and some people replied that specialist hospitals were built in Owerri.

Why leave a whole teaching hospital to rot just because a specialist hospital was builtor because it wasn't located in the state capital

This is nearly 8 months after Rochas left government house with the highest number of petitions against his government to EFCC but interestingly events have proven he actually has no case. Not a single evidence has been gathered to indict any of his aides and himself not to talk of pressing charges because most of the things he's accused of are based on assumptions and propaganda. The present government has tried and tried to justify the propaganda but it just can't stand. It takes nothing for those who abused him wrongly to apologize especially as his Imo has been statistically verified as the least corrupt State in Nigeria by NBS.

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2019/12/09/corruption-index-ihedioha-must-apologise-to-okorocha-says-group/

You know what?
This is a failure of the system.
There are outlined ways to obtain incontrovertible and forensic evidence to be used in prosecuting a case.
But poor records, and letting emotions be on the way is preventing a watertight case being established here.
Rochas is no saint. He did some worthy jobs on his first tenure, while most of his second term was filled with shoddy jobs with inflated costs, and diverting state funds into private pockets via his numerous fronts and family members.
There is no doubt about this.
However, proving this in court with hard evidence is needed to get him to answer for his crimes.
This Dew of Hope hospital is yet another example. Everyone who should know about how the fund for the hospital was sourced all denied any knowledge of it.
A diligent investigation would reveal that Rochas and his cronies own it. Or you would argue that private investors whose source of funds are legit actually own the hospital and refused to acknowledge it?

It's so sad that I have to say this. Abagworo, or whatever the name made a comment to this regards when Ihedioha came in, and we ALL lambasted him for that.

I really don't want a situation where Ihedioha will make us apologise to him for lambasting him.

Not forgetting the fact that Kikake had always lamented the neglect of the teaching hospital in Orlu

So, in your own candid opinion, what do you think have to be done about the current situation we've found ourselves.

Orlu zone made up of 12 local govt areas: Orlu Municipal, Orsu, Oru East, Oru West, Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema, Ideato South, Ideato North, Nkwerre, Nwangele, Njaba, Isu,

Owerri zone made up of 9 local govt areas: Owerri Municipal, Owerri West, Owerri North, Mbaitoli, Ikeduru, Ngor Okpala, Aboh Mbaise, Ezinihite Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise.

Okigwe zone made up of 6 local govt areas: Okigwe Municipal, Onuimo, Isiala Mbano, Ehime Mbano, Obowo, Ihite Uboma.

Unfortunately, the 24 local govt areas outside Owerri Municipal, Owerri West and Owerri North have been consistently denied basic development infrastructures by deceptive governors of Imo state, as the governors concentrate all infrastructures that promote modern development only in the 3 local govt areas in Owerri, and pocket what should have gone for infrastructures in the other 24 local govt areas, while people from Owerri area clap "Imo is developing." The governors thus get away with the impunity.

One thing he fails to know is that we recognize the place someone comes from through his surname.

Only a fool from Owerri, or one who has abandoned his hometown and settled in Owerri, will support the existing situation where rest of Imo state are migrating to Owerri where social infrastructures exist.

Before long, Owerri shall become a junk city with urban slums and attendant crimes all over Owerri.

Pray that gov Ihedioha does not continue to follow the path of Enwerem, Udenwa, Ohakim and Okorocha who governed with the belief that state capital must be developed first by govt to international standard before development attention is paid by IMSG to other parts of the State.

I am very very happy that you from outside Imo state recognized my struggle since many years ago for all of Imo state be developed fairly uniformly.

Govs concentrating only on Owerri implies that as Owerri expands and absorbs population from rest of Imo state, it becomes imperative that every succeeding governor must continue to deploy most of the state's resources to provide infrastructures to fast expanding Owerri.
With time, there must be little or no resources for the state govt to build the necessary social infrastructures in the towns and rural communities outside Owerri.

Result: the once developing towns in Imo state shrink due to migration to Owerri..

Here, our chorus singers for development of Owerri only do not understand this.
