yeah I'll recommend it if you're on a budget. The inverter is so good you won't agree it's modified sine wave at times and it has an inbuilt charger that's very intelligent. And you can be using it and charging your Batts at the same time which is equivalent to ups mode. The power consumption is so low that it save you more 30% on your batt unlike the normal inverter because it's very light weight. The icing on the cake is that it charges with low current even as lows as 100v. The humming sound on fans with coil is not very significant, I've used it for personal use at home and I've used it for commercial purpose in salon office and I confess the inverter is very rugged. I have the normal inverter in my office but any time PHCN light get problems and no hope of light for days I swap with this one to enjoy my batteries for very long time. But make sure every extension you use it with should not be loose and every plug plugged in should not be loose and shaking .
Please how much does it go for?Thank you

[quote author=viperVIP post=33323039]PLEASE HELP !!!
...so today I bought a FAMICARE 50AH Fast Battery Charger and connected it to my inverter+batteries. The charger has a current control switch labeled 1 to 10. According to the seller, he said I should use gear 5 to charge but according to the manual, if the battery is dead low, I should use 2/3 for best charging which I used and charged for 3 hours. the meter on the charger never reduced as it was stated in the manual that the meter reading will reduce as the charging increases, so I suspected maybe 3 won't work for the charging. Now I want to try 5 but before I do, I need the opinion of people who knows about this product, which gear is the best to use for a 24volt 200ah batteries and won't short the lifespan of my batteries ??

Hello!

How did it go after 4 years. I just got one too...

Good Day to everyone,

I have few questions to ask

(1) Is it all inverters that does automatic changeover when there is power outage? If not, how can I know the one that has automatic changeover?
(2) I have a load of 950 watts (14 energy saving bulbs, 5 celing fans, a TV, a laptop and other small loads), Is it advisable to go for 1.5KVA or 2.4 KVA inverter system ?
(3) is it all inverters that come with chargers for self charging?
(4) I have ordered for two new 100ah batteries, can i complement it with one used 200ah battery?

Answers:
1. Most inverter sold in public market have automatic charge over function. But, it also depends on how the electrical connection is done.

2. Both will suffice for your load, the 1.5kva is a pure sine while 2.4kva is modified sine.

3. Most China & Indian inverters have integrated charger in them but Americans and some Europeans are mostly without charger, so you need to buy external charger.

4. No no no, it is never a good option mixing batteries. Be it same capacity or different capacity or different products.

SUV:
first: for 1.5KVA inverter = u need at least 2.5KVA gen to charge it. that's what i have currently.

the first response is 100% correct.

Do not allow it to go off by itself cos it weakens the battery.

Equivalent load on inverter to Gen should be: i better pass = 1.5KVA inverter + 1 battery.

so do the maths in adding load to ur inverter.

its good, efficient, no-noise, cheaper (on the long run), but you must have a generator before u can get an inverter cos u cannot rely on NEPA to charge ur inverter even though NEPA charges it faster.

Cost: 1.5KVA (N25,000) + 1 battery (30,000) + installation (7,500) = N62,500.

then 2.5KVA gen (standby) **wink**

Good luck.

Is the 1.5KVA still available? Pictures

Good day everyone in the house. Please pardon me for not reading from the beginning.
I need help to know which inverter to go for.
I'm new to inverters so I need your helps before committing to any vendor.

I want an inverter that can power one O.R.L Standing fan, my two laptops, 6 high end phones and a rise to modem.

In my area, they do 2 days on, one day off. And even that two days on, they don't bring the light all the time.

Can I still use only PHCN to charge the batteries, or must I use a solar panel?

Also, is it okay to use generator to charge the batteries?

Please advise me. Thanks a lot.

Hello House,

Needed some expert advise. I have a 3 bedroom flat with 2 Flatscreens, 2 Home Theatres, 3 Fans, 2 decoders, 14 to 18 energy saving bulbs, 1 microwave and 1 blender. Loads not to be placed on inverter are water dispenser, kettle, heater and AC.

What type of inverter capacity and type should I be looking at?

Heard bad things about charging inverter batteries with a generator that they kill them, is there any fact in that?

What are the best brand out there? Colleague uses PRAG, are they any good?

Regards.

First and foremost I will advice you cut down on your ORL Industrial Fans( it sure will use up so much energy), added to that you can buy a smaller less power consuming standing fan.

now on the size of your Inverter and Batteries :
as you posted, with what you have there is about 350 watts load you use so of max power of 500 watts

on your load it is standard expected that you use 2.5% of the size of your load as the inverter you are going for which in this case is 870 watts

Inverter size: 1 - 1.5Kva
Battery size : 200-220ah
appropriate.(minimum)

We also install on inverters /solar and batteries with over 7 years of experience with remarkable proofs and after sale support
JEKITECH. We can be part of your power story...

For your power needs i will first and foremost advice you cut down on the following in order to spend less on your power
1. Microwave
2. Water Dispenser
3. Water Heater
4. AC ( if Optional)

this afore listed appliances are not always a good part of the alternative power plan since they consume a lot, but if its a need that it runs, why not you can go for a bigger sized inverter and battery capacity. but i will restrict my answer to the remaining loads.

your total power needs is about 630w and a max of 850w

your inverter size should be : 2-3kva
battery capacity (200 - 220ah) X 2

We can also be part of your power story, you can call us to for further free consultation or sales and installation nationwide

Offcourse,u can charge using an intelligent battery charger( it came along). I run a 32inch led TV,fans, lights etc. Make sure u don't use heavy consumers like d pressing iron etc. Also, for ur battery to last,ur load should be 150 watts or less.
