It's official... Abia state to commence immediate payment of 30k minimum wage from January, 2020.

Abia State Government has approved the payment of N30,000 new minimum wage for employees in the state.

This is contained in a New Year message/speech delivered by Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Executive Governor of Abia State.

This is a lie,very impossible,audio payment.let him start by clearing the over one year arrears he's owing workers first

Kudos to the governor. Hope the pensioners are also taken care of. They lay the foundation of the civil service just like how the present crops of civil servants will earn the beautiful tag of PENSIONERS as time goes on.

Is it just me noticing that it's mainly PDP governors that have started paying this N30k minimum wage?

It's chicken change yet the states in SE and particularly SS cannot pay despite their huge allocation. Almost all the northern states are complying. Let keep acting like it doesn't concern us.

Gov. Wike come and see what you fellow gomina is doing. Down here in Rivers State, we have been stagnant promotion wise for close to 12 yrs. Even the new minimum wage, the Wike led govt is yet to make a clear-cut statement about implementation.

Ask yourself one question first. These people who are lazying about in approving and paying "common 30 thousand" as the guy put it, how much are they earning? Its really sad that we have reduced to expect mediocrity such as these.
