the major difference btw the two is that, redmi 8a doesnt have fingerprint sensor. Aside that they have almost similar spec.. I use redmi 8a, and i can boldly tell u i have no regret, very good phone, battery is top notch..

if you are using the PPSSPP with blue logo, download the other one PPSSPP gold (and vice versa)... if problem persists try changing graphics in settings from VULKAN to OPENGL(vice versa)

both have different variants in terms of ram and Rom... Redmi 8a is a good budget phone, got it for only 35k on jumia but its as if i cheated them..

Redmi 8 has bigger ram and rom so it's kinda faster and better... It has finger print scanner and 2nd camera for depth
