The new West Africa Currency (ECO), is one area we should also look into, whatever decision FG takes will affect us all one way or another. Now that all the CFA countries have finally subscribed to ECO, CBN should do everything to counter the influence of France on the future currency. Nigeria should embrace ECO, because having other Ecowas countries use ECO without Nigeria will send Naira into automatic extinction. Naira should not be allowed to die automatic death by pressure from ECO, as this will cost us more as the economic giant of Africa. Only Togo has all the necessary requirements to embrace ECO. Weeks and months to come, Nigeria should use every trick in the book to boost our national reserve and ensure a stabilized naira before embracing ECO, this will give Nigeria more advantages with ECO.

Althoug Nigeria will no longer have monetary powers to dictate the exchange rate and stability of ECO, but Nigeria will definitely have lots of other advantages with the new West African currency, but firstly, we have to do our economic homework before making any decision about ECO.

Nigeria will not be a party to the current Eco as packaged by France on behalf of Francophone countries in West Africa.

Francophone countries changed their currency CFA to Eco without ratification and approval by all ECOWAS member nation.

Nigeria which is responsible for more than 60% of the trade in West Africa was not carried along. Togo is the only nation that has satisfied the requirements for the common currency.

France want to takeover Eco, through the back door and Nigeria will not be a party to this.

You need to build a house people in the environment can afford. A room and parlour self contained is a hot cake in that environment, but a 3 bedroom apartment or duplex won't fly

It is simply lack of flexibility.

I have seen someone putting up 3 bedrooms flats * 6, but after investigating the environment, he modified his house to Single Self Serviced rooms with Toilet and Kitchen.

He generated 8 rooms per floor times 3 floors. That is 24 rooms and rented them off at N120,000 per room. All of them got paid for in 3 months after construction.

The person you quoted can still carry out modifications on his house.

What do you guys think about investing with an established transport coy that plies PHC to the West.

Cost of getting a vehicle, branding, registration e.t.c is 2.5m. The company pays N200,000 monthly for two years.

The vehicle can still be sold at not less than 1.2m after two years. Maintaining the car shouldn't cost more than this(1.2m). That leaves me with a return of nearly 100%.

You are right, I think Nigerians should unite and wield their regional powers to their own advantage. But we must not ignore the smart role France is trying to play, West Africa is extremely important to French economy and survival.
