Abi o. Thats the idea all along. Investors like you should borrow money at lower rates and buy more tankers, build more houses, etc. That way our economy grows. cool

I don't really get this.
I went to inquire from first bank about tbills earlier this week but they said no bidding for tbills now.
So my question is; is it that the bidding rate is low or no tbills currently?

Borrow at what %interest. .? Banks are still on their normal 25-30% interest rate for loans.

The confusion is amazing.

Just when I was wondering why she quoted your post in the long epistle, then I saw your perfect response.

Unfortunately, we tend to use all these posts to justify our present situation in life instead of going out there and take risks so as to take charge of our lives. A billionaire died at 56, so what? Many poor people below age 56 have died but would have lived if only they had just enough money to get proper medical treatment. And besides, there are millionaires and billionaires in their 80's and 90's around the world who have all the luxuries described in the post, and they are physically, emotionally, spiritually and, obviously, financially stable. All the comparisons in the post are so different: the experiences are incomparable!

In my opinion, what we should be aiming for is a life of abundance in all ramifications. Who says there are no people around the world that have it all!

For those that wants alternative to TB or Fixed deposit with good interest rate .

I work with a Non- banking financial institution called Rosabon Financial Services ( The Concept Group ) 32 Montgomery Road Sabo Yaba with a branch in Abuja ,PH & Warri licensed and regulated by CBN and also been in existence for over 25 yrs now. our interest rate still remain unbeatable, fantastic and far better than what all the commercial banks are giving out presently. For 1M is actually 11.5% per annum for 90days and is still open to negotiation. You can get your interest Upfront , Monthly or @ Maturity. The longer the Tenor , the higher the interest rate. You may contact me if you are interested. 08036450638 or a.abatan@rosabon-finance.net or www.rosabon-finance.com

Treasury Bills Auction 2/01/2020... cheesy

From all indications, we all need to seek Alternative Investments outlets...

However I have one short Advise, Never use the funds earmarked for your Risk free Investments for any risky investment.

Just remain disciplined and bear in mind that the Inflation rate is still above 11.8%, and that the markets will always run Marathon!

Is it adviseable to divert ones TB funds to MMF since it currently has a better rate than TB. And does MMF guarantees protection of capital? If not are there better alternative that are risk minimal like TB ? I will appreciate a positive response.

Wow what is happening to TBill will build our economy in the long run grin

Buhari n his economic team have received sense finally

The era of free money is over

TB will get to 1% for 365 day so that people will be forced to invest in the SME and create jobs. The real sector must come alive for our economy to recover. How can someone with over 10m be hiding in TB n FD for free money.

Totally unacceptable

Take risks, impact our economy and make over 100% monthly in SMEs

Ogawisdom sorry you lack wisdom. How many people have invested 10m or above in the Nigerian economy through businesses and so on but only to come back empty handed? How many have gone from the edge of wealth to the brink of poverty all because of the Nigerian business landscape? Government cannot force people to invest in bad deals, people are getting smarter now, they'll rather invest outside of Nigeria than to invest in a business that could be crippled by one idiotic government policy. Truck business, Farming, Hotel business, Uber, I've done it all, abeg avoid me at all cost angry angry angry

U are simply myopic or plain ignorant
There are always two sides to a coin, that u failed in business speaks volumes of your narrow mindedness but don't forget we still have many success stories like dangote et al.
If u don't want to invest in the real sector then shut up and accept the 1% on offer n crawl back to your cave.

Crashing TB n FD is excellent for our economy
