Does Iran have the finances to prosecute and sustain a conventional war with the crippling sanctions affecting her economy badly? They won't be able to sell or exchange oil for weapons as their oil installations will likely be the first target of attack. They may have a stockpile of weapons and ammunition even if their weapons storage is in an underground facility, ammunition can be quickly depleted. If Russia, China and Turkey are to supply them with weapons and Ammo, what will those countries benefit If Iran's oil facilities are destroyed? Those countries are not Father Christmas or Charity Organisations. Does Iran have gold, diamond, uranium or other valuable resources to exchange for weapons? These countries are just allies with Iran for cheap black market oil and to reduce and undermine US interests in the Middle East using Iran as a proxy.
If Soleimani can be precisely taken out without a single US soldier setting foot close to his vicinity, then Iran should have known what they are up against in a conventional war. I doubt Iran will tow that path. Iran will continue to attack American soft targets and that of her allies using armed militias and terrorists.

1. Russia and China will NEVER stick their necks out for Iran.
2. What you mean by "almighty" Russia, is best known to you alone. Is Russia powerful? Ofcourse they are...but they have (since after the Soviet era), played second fiddle to the USA in terms of military and economic dominance.

America has hit Russia severally with economic sanctions and your "Almighty" Russia have felt the impact.

In terms of Military dominance, America has had more say in Global dominace - Fought more battles, taken the fights to aggressors and terrotories etc. Russia on the other hand, has done really nothing special to consider them a threat, aside firing one or two missiles, subtle sympathy for rogue nations, flying jets around the world- no full fledge military battle to assess their power and might.

Africans and their low knowledge of international politics, right now US are bracing up for a revenge attack cos clearly Iran will retaliate but sure it won't gonna be like a conventional war as WW1 or WW2, Iran's hands are locked because Russia and China haven't seen any reason to join the chaos but if they do, then I'm afraid we'll be experiencing WW3 this January.

Those supporting US need a brain reset, each time the seat of the president is being threatened by either an impeachment proceeding of some sort or internal hatred from the people, the President uses 'false' national security issue to gather the support and sympathy of the citizens so as to retain power, George Bush did it with the bombing of the towers, now Trump is towing the same path.
