At least I try my best to make this thread busy by posting news related to our players and national teams when I'm off work. It's miles better than hating on a player who's goals helped in qualifying us for the afcon and world cup.

Emenike is 32 and as good as finished while Ighalo is still banging goals in China, linked with a possible return to the epl and raking in thousands of pounds everyday while Emenike couldn't make the grade in lowly rated Belgian 2nd tier and was released few weeks ago. cool

cheesy cheesy

Nwanne it is OK, I am sorry. No reason am, we no dey fight. Ighalo for u, Emenike for me. Happy Sunday

which Ighalo?

or another, probably not the one I know...

The one that flopped at Udinese or the one that was just there in Granada or the half season wonder at Watford or the one that relocated to China?

Still, he managed to amass more than 125 club goals against Emenike's 81...Ighalo is still playing

Oga Chris, Emenike did not score any goal in Brazil,.....

His presence was felt and he was the reason we defeated Bosnia and got to the knock out stage. His other striking partners were abysmal, especially Victoria Moses.

Ighalo chickened out as usual in Russia, hence his presence was negatively felt, and he was the reason we lost to Argentina and got knocked out.

Emenike only got assists in that tournament. It was Osaze who delivered us to Rd. Of 16.

Yes he does and I will be watching as usual. Will be a bloody tough game vs Odegaard, Merino and Oyarzabal. Can't wait for kickoff.

Chuks starts upfront by the way alongside Moreno it seems.

Actually it was Ozase who tapped in after Emenike had manufactured the goal. The goal was so made by Emenike that people forgot the final touch came from Osaze.

That tells u that I don't attach sentiments. If you perform poorly I bring out my stick and if u do well I hail you for it.

You thought I hated Ighalo right? Well sorry to disappoint you.I have no permanent favorites and no permanent player under my criticism.

The problem is when you attach too much sentiments to the analysis or critism of players and refuse to see anything good in a player even when he is performing.
Ighalo's recent stats have buoyed his overall performance in the national team's jersey why will that be a difficult thing to acknowledge except if you are blinded by sentiments of which I am not!

Success has many cousins indeed

they were offensive to you right? oh i never knew, eyah!

but referring me to what omanbala or whatever his moniker is was civil right? someone who doesnt make any meaningful contribution in here but only appear once in 3 months to bash iwobi and hype azubuike okechukwu and kelechi nwakali? truly you need sense badly.

i saw his post i just swallowed it for a reason but i can't take that from you referring me to it.

Hustled from scratch? It was Osaze who delivered from midfield to Emenike on the wings. Emenike then pushed the Bosnian player in the midst of a nutmeg/deke and passed it in to Odemwingie for the tap in.

Osaze was the architect of that goal.

Meanwhile in retrospect I saw the Leganes game and although Omeruo was beaten twice for the two goals Leganes conceeded, he was rocksolid aerially and in duels against the Valladolid attackers.

Only once was he soundly beaten in the air which led to Valladolid's second goal and for the first goal, well... He should have prevented that cut back into the box. But overall, Omeruo was solid.

Awaziem on the other hand was also impressive. Very impressive infact and harldy lost a duel.

The Ghanaian Center back, Mohammed Salisu was beautiful to watch. His passing and cross for that Valladolid second goal were joy to watch but towards the end of the game, Leganes should have won it and it was due to Salisu's poor positioning Blunder. Lad even slipped on his ass and was lucky that didn't result in a goal.

Why do I mention this? Well, to show you all that it was not just Omeruo who had one or two bad moments. Salisu also had his. Take nothing away from Omeruo coz apart from those two blips, he did his job.

In all, it is great to see Awaziem getting even better. And Omeruo playing as consistently as ever when available. Consider we still have Semi Ajayi doing it for West Brom (never mind that own goal... It happens.), Ekong doing it for Udinese and the likelihood of seeing one or two additions this year or next to the CB role.. I can say with all confidence and assurance that Our defence is safe for this new decade for sure. wink
