You keep missing the point. VAR was brought in to improve the accuracy of officials. But your point seem to question why have any officials at all?

You agree that VAR should be used to verify a penalty decision that may already have been decided by a Referee but I don't see you asking why bother having a Referee? So of what significance is this question with the Linesmen?
