My auntie who is above 75 years just told me she and the entire Ukwuani people are Igbos and must remain Igbos forever.

I don't like to argue about long proven facts.

See as these guys dey fall my hand. You guys create the opportunity for irrelevant people to insult Ndigbo. See how u guys have wasted many pages on irrelevant history trying to convince someone that she is Igbo. I opened this thread and saw u guys have added extra 5 pages not knowing that u guys have wasted all 5 pages on Ishilove.
The earlier u guys focus less on the history of Anioma the lower ur blood pressure will be. Anioma that it's people have not done much to develop is what easterners are fighting for like this? This is a clear case of adding a huge liability to Ndigbo.
Have u been to Ukwani before? Apart from farming Cassava and making fufu which other thing dem sabi for there? Ndigbo pls focus only on the east at least for now, and stop looking for liabilities in the SS up and down.
they can also plant weed ! They are good there

Fulani has cornered Nigeria's wealth derived partly from your land, and using the wealth to exclusively to develop Fulani states and even extend into Niger Republic!

They are borrowing $30 billion dollars in your name and will use the money to largely develop their area, then tax your businesses to payback the loan.

What is of utmost importance to you people is to worry about who is Igbo and who is Cameroonian??

You see why you perpetuate the myth that Igbo is industrious but very very stupid and brainless people?

I knew you, you were once a mod before you were sacked. Maybe you thought we are all new here.
Who sacked me? You?? cheesy When lies are repeated often and consistently enough, it is gradually accepted as the truth. Mail the admin and find out the truth, although I seriously doubt he will respond to inanity. wink

Now back to main topic:
Ah yes, the main topic that has seen you congress of ill-bred, uncouth primitive ethnic supremacists and bigots dedicate five pages of bile tainted drivel on lil 'ol me. I have been repeatedly mentioning 'identity' from the outset but you lots are too unintelligent to grasp what I am overtly inferring.

Read and educate yourself on why a vast majority of people have disavowed an ethnic group. I am responsible for what I write, not what you understand (not surprising, rock bottom IQs and all)

Ukwuani means Leg on the ground in Igbo language.

Until someone tells me what Ukwuani means in any other languages, I will stick with what my auntie says that Ukwuani is as staunchly Igbo as Nnewi. grin
,

Yes, however, the purpose of this thread should not be lost on Ukwuani debate. Let discussions stick on the subject matter. We know Col. Emmanuel Nzefili from Ukwuani says he is Igbo, fought for Biafra. But any Ukwuani who says he's not Igbo, should be left alone.

You guys may not know that Ukwuani have more issues than this debate. Linguistically, they've refused to identify with the rest of Anioma, insisting the local news in Igbo in Delta state did not meet their linguistical requirements. Put A.N.I.O.M.A. aside. You can better deal with Igbo groups across the Niger by identifying with the respective sub groups viz.

Enu-ani (Oshimmili and Aniocha) these are the most influential and successful group, and consists of the most Igbo nationalists.

Ika - Agbor and its affiliate towns. These group are evenly divided on whether they're Igbo or Benin.

Ukwuani - The most controversial.

Like i stated, any Ukwuani who doesn't identify as Igbo should not use this thread as a platform to disclaim it. Open another thread to state your arguments.

What have I missed so far?

Ah, yes. Economic and political activities.

I'll be back with a possible economic catalyst that's dear to my heart.

There is an issue that has been close to my heart since year 2000. Everybody is talking about a 2nd Niger Bridge, but I have always believed that we need a 3rd Niger Bridge and that should be a rail bridge. Thankfully I'm not the only person thinking in that direction.

FG to construct coastal rail to terminate in Onitsha – Buhari

...Says Second Niger Bridge now to be completed in 2021

13th October 2019
Jeff Amechi Agbodo, Onitsha

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the South-East geopolitical zone of a third bridge project, a coastal rail that will terminate in Onitsha with a spur unto Nnewi in Anambra State.

He promised that the construction of the coastal rail would start next year that will pass through Onitsha to Asaba, from Agbor to Warri, from Warri to Utako to Ajaokuata to Abuja.

The president who made the promise in a goodwill message at the weekend in Onitsha during Obi of Onitsha’s 18th Ofala festival said that there were many ongoing roads projects in the South East zone.

Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige appealed to the host communities of second Niger Bridge project to give peace chance to enable the construction firm to complete the project as scheduled.

He said the second Niger Bridge is now a reality as work is ongoing while the construction company handling the project has assured of completing the work six months earlier in 2021 than the scheduled date of 2022.

“The host communities should pipe low and should not demand too much compensation to enable the contractor to complete the project on time. The contractor, Julius Berger, said it will complete the job six months ahead of the stipulated time of 2022. The contracting firm promised that they would now complete the project in 2021.

“The second Niger Bridge is now a reality; the pillars are springing up. The funding of the project is in place from sovereign wealth fund and Federal Government fund. I want to assure the people of Onitsha, the people of Anambra State and the people of South East zone that the third bridge which is the coastal rail that will terminate in Onitsha with a spur unto Nnewi later. The construction will start next year. The rail will go through Onitsha to Asaba, from Agbor to Warri, from Warri to Utako to Ajaokuata to Abuja.

“The Enugu-Onitsha expressway is on going. The Umunya section of the road that had been waterlogged has been done. The job is now moving down to Amansea and from there to Enugu; the most important parts of the job have been done. Then, the road from Onitsha -Orba-Amichi- Uga-Arondizugo-Okigwe work is also ongoing. Another road from Enugu-Okigwe-Umuahia-Aba-Port Harcourt, the four sections of the roads have been awarded and immediately after the rain stops, the work will commence on those roads.

“There is award of 9th Mile-Otrukpo-Makurdi road. So the South East zone has not been left out in the infrastructural development,” he assured.

Please stop derailing this thread. This thread is about Igbo political and economic activities and it is in the politics section. Stop discussing cultural and secessionist issues here. Cultural issues should be in the Culture Section, while secessionist issues should be in the Ethnic, Racial, Or Sectarian Politics Section.

I will report any poster that derails the thread and anyone that insults other Nairalanders.

No offence but this thread was created to discuss Pan Igbo issues which could be political, social, cultural or economic. Apart from the insults, I don't think anyone is going off tangent.
