For some reasons I forgot to share my driving testimony here. So here it goes to encourage someone.

I passed on the 5th attempts after giving up for more than 6 months.

Congrats....

Fati this is exactly my story. I passed when I gave up. My second to last fail was because I didn’t turn right on green- all my family members were like “that’s unfair to fail someone!”

I literally had given up when the instructor said “congratulations...” I couldn’t hold the Nigerian in me, I was screaming and shaking the car grin

5 times fam!! Proud of you dear!

Thank you oo my sister, the success story is usually around the corner after giving up

I cannot recommend these guys enough.

I used them months ago to get my second mortgage as I didn't have the time or energy to trawl through the tons of mortgage providers to find one that meets my needs. I got my first mortgage years ago by going direct to my bank (RBS), sold that property last year and got my second mortgage via LandC. It's fee-free as they get a commision from the mortgage provider. I did pay a £995 product fee to the mortgage provider which was added to the loan, this was mostly cancelled by the £500 cashback I received from the mortgage provider.

If LandC cannot give a good deal, it's most likely a deal cannot be found elsewhere. Fee-free is an added bonus.

Will definitely check them out, to have this good review on NL. Thanks

If roundabouts was your weak point, how have you been driving in Nigeria?...... cheesy

I drove less than 5 times in Nigeria.
And imho, Nigerian driving (as messy and chaotic as it is), barely qualifies as good experience

Haba..... You want DVLA to collect her fresh license......... grin

Don't use your phone o...... For new drivers, that's a new driving test, for oldies...... It's 6 points + £200 fine........... cheesy

Police officers now take double decker buses, to sting unsuspecting motorists..... Each day they go out on sting operations, they capture about 40 drivers...... That's 40 * £200 =........

The worse thing is, you don't even know you're caught, till you get the ticket....... Don't even bother contesting it...... They also have photographic and video evidence............

Someone i know wasnt even on the phone, he was holding his phone and turned the steering when the police car drove pass ......... Police stopped that he was holding / using his phone . He tried to say he wasnt on the phone he was just holding it but last last, you cannot argue too much as a "black man" wink ............officer wrote him a 3 point fine stating the driver did not have "proper control of the vehicle" due to holding a phone while driving

so i am sure that comment was a joke grin ........ Driving with phone + new driver = looking for trouble

Uk or Europe .....I did UK budget holiday last year , caravan , chalet and apartment using the sun . Some were rubbish but some were ok. With the sun it usually the worst accommodation cheesy so after the first experience i used it only as a guide or upgrade with it . It wasnt luxury but the kids enjoyed it and it made us waka differently places in UK we normally wont go to and we tried one outside UK through the sun , Altomincio which was good .

Thanks so much. I’d like UK but Hubby and the son want Europe, so it’s Europe as final answer.

So I woefully failed my theory and hazard perception test today despite preparing well(or so I thought). Gonna book another in three days but I just don’t know where I went wrong cos I tried hard not to click too many times in the hazard perception part. Any tips to help me prepare better please ? I feel so sad.

Sorry.
I don't think you woefully failed, as you did well in the multiple choice segment.
You may have clicked too many times in the hazard perception.
What did you use to prepare for the test?

I bought the DVLA training CD and I used it to prepare for mine, so I knew how to click correctly.

Theory test Pro.

Purchase the pro version on your mobile for 5 pounds.

And that would be the best way to practice both hazard and theory test. Good luck

I used the app to prepare as I do not have a CD player. As a matter of fact, I think I didn’t click enough cos I was being too careful to spot the hazard before clicking. Phewww. Trying to book another test. Earliest is 20th, feels like a long wait. Just wana be done with it.
