3/(2m2- m - 4


of (3/2)m2 - m - 4...... correct

Had it been you told me it was the latter, it's very easy.

Multiply all through by 2

2 x (3/2)m2 - 2 x m - 2 x 4

3m2 - 2m - 8

That's a quadratic equation

It can be solved using Factorization, Completing the square or Almighty formula method.

So let us use the almighty formula because it gives the best result and the most trusted; even in real and complex answer.

-b ± √(b2 - 4ac) / 2a

a= 3, b = -2, c= -8

-(-2) ± √((-2)2 - (-1)(4x3x8))/ 2x3

2± √(4 + 96) / 6

2±√100 / 6

2±10 / 6

2+10 / 6 or 2-10 /6

12/6 or -8/6

m = 2 or -4/3

The one I solved is correct.
It is a quadratic equation. So, you will have 2 answers for m. I only tested one of the answers to see if it is correct and it is. Both answers are corect.
The correct solution is m= - 4/3 or m=2.

The person typed it with a phone. It means raised to power. X^2 means X raised to the power of 2 i.e X².

A newly discovered method last month.
You just pick the coefficient of x, span it in the middle and equate to the C term.
E. G
If you are to solve
X²-16x+48=0
16 is the coefficient of x.
Half of 16 is 8.

We just split this 8 into two parts and write
(8+u)(8-u)=48

U²=16
U= +/- 4

Just subatitute +/-4 into (8+u) and (8-u)
You will get 12 and 4 everytime.

Therefore,
X=4 or x =12 is the solution of the parent quadratic equation
This method was discovered worldwide few weeks ago.
