giselle237: Thank you for your response. My Estate Agent transferred the money into my account from his corporate account and I have all the proof that he is my agent in charge of the house. Can I also add the property utility bill to the application? Please with my 168k disposable income from my salary can I tell them I want to spend £700 for the trip without my friend supporting? Our salary only shows on our statement of account that the money was paid by the company but most times doesn't indicate salary. But it usually shows the name of the company and that is the only money entering my account apart from the rent fee. My current balance is about 1.4M. With my disposable income of 168k from my salary kindly help me with how much i can present as the money I want to spend as I am spending only 6days. Please what can I present as evidence of my friendship with him because he left Nigeria about 9years ago. Is there any other thing I can also present to show i have siblings and parents in Nigeria? I am the Regional Youth Coordinator in my church pls can I get a letter from the Regional Overseer as well. Thank you once again. |

Your friend will cover accommodation and feeding so this will be away from your expenditure. This would help you to save money too. Let him give u an invitation letter stating that he is providing accommodation and feeding and that he has known you for such and such time, his residency permit or red passport data page, his account statement, the house utility bill/tenancy agreement. Or he can support with accommodation and then he wont have to send his statement of account. He will however send every other document. If you were a visa officer in Nigeria and your job is to grant someone from say South Africa a visa because he wants to come and pay a visit to his friend in Nigeria, What would you be looking out for in the documents he presents? Would you let anyone just come into your country like that? That’s the same way you should assess ur application. If such South African can’t prove to u with pictures, call logs, whatsapp messages logs, email logs or other evidence that they know this friend in Nigeria, will u give him visa? Use this as a margin to know what and what to add to ur application from your end, from your family in Nigeria that will stay back during the period of your travel and from your friend you are going to visit. This should be done as a thorough process. About ur salary credits.. as long as it shows ur company doin the crediting, it’s fine. Read this thread there’s lots of information as to documents you should provide to prove your ties to Nigeria. graceodini: |

Please can someone refer me to a page where the cost of travelling was explained in full details, like amount one have to budget for the travel as against income and monthly expenditure, and also disposable income, I've tried to locate that particular page but i couldn't |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by folmus: 2:30pm On Jan 11, 2020 |
iwanvisityankee: I don't think you can find anything of such. Cost of travelling depends on individual situations. If you want people to advise, you have to provide your details viz job, salary, ties, etc and purpose of your visit. Cheers! |

giselle237: God bless you sir/ma. I don't have any of the pictures we took together again when we were young but I still have our recent whatsapp chats. Please is the £700 okay to state as the amount am planning to spend for the 6-days trip considering my 168k disposable income? Do you mean if he is accommodating and feeding me he doesn't have to send his bank statement. Though he is ready to send everything to me. |

graceodini: Spending £700 is not bad as that represents two months of your salary, the only issue is that you are going to spend what you earned in two months in just 6days. Letter from your pastor is not necessary, it wouldn't stop you from overstaying your visa if you want to? |

I intend to apply for a UK visitors visa in order to sit a professional exam next month. However, I've got some queries as regards financing. My mum paid about 300k into my account last month to help me with the trip. She gave me an additional 800k around the same period, which I did not pay directly into my account but put it in a short term (30-day) investment with a reputable investment firm. I intend to liquidate 500k out of this to fund the trip, this money will be paid into my account in a few days, and I need to apply for the visa in a week or two so that I will not miss the exam deadline. I had intended to state that the 800k was an accumulation of monthly investments from my salary over the past 1 year. I have large deductions that can support this in my bank statement because I mostly transfer half of my income to mobile wallets for my transactions. I also intended to attach the investment certificates of the initial 800k and the 300k balance which I intend to reinvest. My bank statement over the past 6 months shows regular inflow and outflow. But my balance will be made up largely of these two deposits with a little addition. How do I explain the 300k paid into my account by mum? Can I simply state that it was a gift from her to help with my trip? Do I have to show proof of how my mum got the funds? Will paying this money into my account so close to my application raise a red flag? Is attaching the two investment certificates enough to show proof of the 500k deposit? |

There’s someone here or the other thread for tier4 with very similar scenario. Write a cover letter explaining that the deposit is her support for you towards the professional exam. She could also write an introduction in support of your application. If you have a birth certificate to proof she’s ur mum it’s even better. Data page of her international passport too might be needed. You don’t need to show her source of income as she’s not the applicant Since u have certificates to back it up, u shld mention it in the cover letter and make reference to the certificates Good luck BTW I think it’s high time we created a thread for PLAB exams and visa issues (if there isn’t one already) Phenobarb14: 1 Like |

Hello house, can you please assist to evaluate this refusal notice and how can someone explain source of funds after the narration of credit inflow shows the name of sender who is the children's father every month. Could it be they need letter from the sender or sender's statements of account. Though he is not partaking in finance for the trip. Certificates of fixed deposit were presented and stated in the cover letter. How do someone explain source of funds again. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 4:20pm On Jan 12, 2020 |
@1blessing... since they are asking for the source of funds of your children maintenance money despite seeing that the credits are from their father, then I think u should add X. A letter from him stating the children are his, the current situation between you guys- married, separated, divorced and the living condition, also that he pays you monthly so and so amount for their upkeep, what he does for a living and attach his bank statements too. His bank statement will be able to show the SOURCE of this his money to u to be either from his salary or his business.. they say they are finding the source of this money 1 Like 1 Share |

I am 26 years and I have 4 years banking experience, is it advisable I go for my masters in the UK with the new intended 2 years post study visa, or I apply for Canada PR or go for my postgraduate in a Canadian school. Your honest answers will be appreciated. |
