Thank God a someone visited and interrupted that session, everyone got busy and we never had that time till I ran away from home.

Girlfriend I no kwukwuma get.

Please this can't be just me passing through this, who else is in my shoes and how do you survive?

Truthsayer009 wow your pastor didn't know times had changed ni. Also many of these get their notion from bishop oyedepo and the story is not even complete.

The best way to handle marriage talks is to ask them to contribute money for your wedding. Then you will see the True hypocritical nature in man. They all just want to push other people, they do not really care.

To the elders, tell them you will let them know when its time.

To your peers, Tell them its none of their concern.

Best is to ignore, not to seem disrespectful.

Typical black man mentality!

They won't proffer self development paths, ways on garnering side incomes or how to start a business, rather they'll push you to get married, breed and add to the already bloated population of this shit hole.

In all honesty, I regret being born in this continent. angry

This is not a major reason to marry as touching as it sounds. It's more important to be, and find the right person, and regardless of whatever marital status, to be happy.

Everyone keeps asking questions as if life is a grocery list: "Hope you've finished school?" "You don't have a job ni?" "Where is the wife naa (or husband as it applies)?" "So, what are you doing now?"

No one ever asks if you're happy. And life is never a competition. Everyone's time will come. The best you can do is pray for your children's marital life.

So men too get pressured to marry? After now they will come here to call women 'old cargo', meanwhile in reality they are too poor to marry so they come online to transfer the agression.

Nonsense and broke bachelors

If you're of marriageable age and not yet married, your parents will surely pester you. Just make them understand that the economy is hard, and you will get married when you're able to take care of a woman.

In a way, I did and he was a victim of all this "go and get married with whatever you have" rhetoric.

As if you yourself will marry a promising guy, talk less of a broke one. undecided
