My point is that it cannot be forced. You cannot gather people and ask them to revolt, like Sowore tried to do. Everyone must come to a point where they see for themselves that no other option is available than a revolution.

I know what you meant, I’m just asking how that will happen.

Revolution all over the world was started by a person or an event. Any Revolution still needs someone to be the leader else it will be free for all anarchy.

Powersurge:
Anybody that thinks "a people" will suddenly turn 360 degrees and change without a well charted course from "above" MUST be joking.

Human nature resists order. But when you know what will happen if you do certain things and you have seen high and mighty languishing in jail for "minor" things, your brain will reset.

Social change is a conscious and direct approach brought upon the people by a leader. For everyone that choose to do the right thing, a million others will do otherwise. And if by chance your "rightness" collides with the "wrongness" of a million people, you will be QUICKLY thrown under the bus.

How do you subdue people? Make them poor and/or make them illiterate.

If you see crime as a sole human choice, then your view is very erroneous. It has been proven that crime has antecedents. For every 1000 police officers collecting salary of 40k, seeing their bosses living above their means, seeing senior colleagues dying to collect their pensions, whose children are sent back from school, whose shoes have holes, who cannot change cloths, who protect politicians stealing billions etc. AT LEAST 800 of them will cut corners.

If we have option to pay our first one year salary to someone to get this NNPC job, 80% of people here (including me) will take that option. Crime or illegality does not exist as a loner.

For every public infrastructure destroyed at least 5 indices are directing towards failed government (failure to enforce law, failure to protect lives and property, fail to prosecute prospective culprits, failure to educate, failure to empower, the list is endless).

The first sign of anarchy arises when system becomes selective in what to prosecute. When justice becomes a matter of tribe, class, religion etc. You think someone removing rail steel is a criminal? Have you thought of someone who refused to build school to educate him? Someone who refused to build hospital that led to his father's death? Someone who got billions from kickbacks of that project whose children will never "condescend" to the level of ever using such abysmal rail system (they rather fly over it)? Someone who stole money meant for industry, power etc which would have create employment for the "thief"?

Tell me a leader in Nigeria, including Buhari who doesn't have more money than he truly worth in his account. And I will show you a man or woman who is not only a criminal but a liar.

Nigerians are the best people anybody can lead. Every baffoon government will come and lie to them and they will buy it.

Do you think Niger Deltans (referring to millitants) suddenly became "criminals"? Crime has antecedents.

Hmmm. I agree with your entire submission, especially the bolded. Someone once said: the society creates the crime while the individual commits it.

LOL.

Every democratic process is slow because it will always involve a lot of bureaucracy.

Reorientation can start from anywhere. From your home, by telling your fathers n mothers, brothers n sisters to do the right thing. By telling your colleague to not cheat the system. By obeying all laws including traffic, waste management, pedestrians crossing and the likes and of course by paying your TAX.

Like Buhari once said, change begins with You and Me. Once we are able to change from our lawless ways and be acccoutable to ourselves, we then become major champion of accountability from the government.

We can start by preaching love n unity in all parts of the country but first you have to show that love n unity to those around you, those Yorubas you loathe or those Igbos you don’t want to see or those “illiterate” Hausas you dislike with passion and all other ethnic group. No one is more Nigerian than the other. Shun tribalism or religion intolerance.

To effect wholesome changes in the political space, Nigerians must band together and that’s why Reorientation is important.

Cheers.

N.B: I don’t subscribe to any of Sowore shenanigans, he contested for President, lost n called for revolution. In any other country, he will be languishing in some forgotten jail.

How can I like this post more than once? cool cool

Dude, January does not need to pass before you know no one knows anything. Even the GMD himself is equally confused. That’s how much of a shamble our society is.

I salute everyone here.
....So, I got a call from this guy I stayed with when I went to Abuja for the NNPC interview. He asked if they've reached out to anyone, I told him I had no idea. Then, he said there's this school mate (I'm not friends with her) of ours that was just offered an appointment by the NNPC. I told him it must be a contract appointment but the guy objected, he said it's not. He said the girl that got the appointment letter has some connect and all of that. The said girl graduated with a third-class and she did not even apply for the NNPC recruitment. I requested for a screenshot of the appointment letter but he said there's no way the girl would send it to him. He said it's too coded to be made public. According to the info he said he got, some people 'might' still be contacted on merit but I hope and pray so. I only came here to share the info I got, I'm not here to insinuate anything. I'm as hopeful as everyone else, here. That job go help person life! NNPC or not, may the Almighty bless all of us. Ameen.

Hello guys,

The recruitment is very much alive. In the history of nnpc's recruitments, this is a recruitment that will remain one of the best in history.

Forget how the AGGM , Group public affairs division responded to Sun.

Keep hope alive. We are still in January. Panalyst's source is still right till tomorrow. APL is dropping soon.

Baba, i can't possibly be here to troll. I only came here to relay this info because I do not want to outrightly tell people to take their minds away from the recruitment. I am hopeful too because i need the job for some reasons. I have been following this thread as a guest. If you check properly, you'd see that that info is my first post here. I have joined nairaland since but i have not made a post because i forgot my password. I did trial and error with my of my passwords then it logged me in...... I believed the guy's info because he definitely would not call and lie to me. Aside from his own info, i called a person that's close to the girl, the same person confirmed it. I can't just come here and change my name because i want to troll, i don't roll like that. In fact, i don't even know how to change my username. I don't even know how to make a post. I had to quote and clear someone's message to post mine. I have no reason to explain myself but it happens sometimes.

hello big brother, na why I put disclaimer be that say I may be wrong... most of us here na hopeful too, sef for few unfortunate fellows here, wey no get any meaningful thing to do with dem life, than to wannnk fake news here, they do am with passion, which makes me wonder why some ppl dey get such time for that kind of gibberish...

back to the matter, regardless of the source and its legitimacy, the only reliable source for now na GMD , if you no read anything directly from them(NNPC) weda sounds good or the opposite no believe am...I believe wen dem wan shortlist you for test and interview, no be that person oh.. all we gotta do is wait for them...I heard the last recruitment long pass this one. .you see na to calm down things..

however, while waiting for em don't be idle, don't pause your life, do other things, I believe most of us dey do something before dem open their door..so that's it. if you hear or read anything wey no come directly from nnpc don't believe it egbon. I believe at the appropriate time things go show, as it stands nobody knows. e fit be today, tomorrow, next tomorrow, next month or even next year..or worst SOON!!!.. God knows I hate the word "soon" sha.

we gather dey here...we die here lol...
If anybody wan move on...dem no lock door

Safe bro...
hopefully apl go meet us in good health that's koko.

Why does this look like deja vu? Like I've seen someone written this before on this thread, most especially the first paragraph is like word for word, and the whole story is the same, and that was around Sept/Oct.

Nigeria is a very funny country wallahi... I believe at this point getting APL for most of us might not be the number one priority... We just need closure

Anyway let me just pass info I got from a relative
"APL dropping this week or the next latest"

Before people come for my head
I left the thread because I think it's getting toxic
I am posting not to give anyone hope or claim to be an authority on this recruitment process.. rather simply to pass the information I received.

Like seriously? An anonymous person on a faceless forum was magnanimous enough to relay an information and yet you require further inquiry as to the working place and designation of his informant? I should believe we are all learned. As polite as your request may sound, i'm sorry to say that it is plainly inane. The desperation on this thread reeks to high heavens .Funny enough majority of people who have/will receive APL are not or have never heard of this thread. Yet, i am sure the person that provided this information will be quoted by more than 10 other monikers with additional mediocre questions, adding to the multiple pages of already established drivel.
