Any other sector and I can guarantee there's no hope. I am looking at these customs, prisons applicants with pity.

I'd advice anyone to still apply again in the future.
Because in Nigeria, provided the recruitment is in the oil sector, and it was advertised, there's definitely going to be merit, no matter how few.

Any other recruitment, don't bother if you don't have anyone on standby.

....So, I got a call from this guy I stayed with when I went to Abuja for the NNPC interview. He asked if they've reached out to anyone, I told him I had no idea. Then, he said there's this school mate (I'm not friends with her) of ours that was just offered an appointment by the NNPC. I told him it must be a contract appointment but the guy objected, he said it's not. He said the girl that got the appointment letter has some connect and all of that. The said girl graduated with a third-class and she did not even apply for the NNPC recruitment. I requested for a screenshot of the appointment letter but he said there's no way the girl would send it to him. He said it's too coded to be made public. According to the info he said he got, some people 'might' still be contacted on merit but I hope and pray so. I only came here to share the info I got, I'm not here to insinuate anything. I'm as hopeful as everyone else, here. That job go help person life! NNPC or not, may the Almighty bless all of us. Ameen.

Tell your friend to ask her the date of resumption and the date on the letter.

She can provide these information without jeopardising anything.

My concern is that so much time has been wasted. GTs should have spent almost 6 months by now into the service (waiting for next 2.4 years to get promoted). They are indirectly slashing part of the hopeful's service time.
For those to be deployed to NAPIMS, CRUDE MARKETING, PROJECT ENGINEERS/OFFICERS, that is what they called QUICK MONEY. I mean you will enjoy by a wide margin to your colleagues (the cleanliness, though).

But definitely, NNPC has no any excuse for now, what so ever. Is just becoming boring.
