Ndibunna:SW doesn't care about other's opinion or perception of amotekun before inauguarating it. And Amotekun can never fail, if it fails, many security outfits in Nigeria are going down. 2 Likes 1 Share |

If you look at most of the state creation, they were done under military. It seems only the military actually have the power. Most of these states were created by Illegitimate governments. We are stuck! LegendHero: 1 Like 1 Share |

jimyjames: Now you are losing focus and derailing your thread yourself. However let me address the bolded point: The Yoruba have always been a clan of warriors. We have the Oyo empire that extends over the present day Nigeria and we have fought wars and won such that our influence is felt beyond the shores of Nigeria.' The Yorubas are known strategist even since the days of our fore-fathers. We have a planned system of monarchy where we practice the present form of democracy in Oyo kingdom: Excecutive - Alaafin Legislators - The Oyomesis Judiciary - The Ogbonis. In the history of Nigeria after independence, the Yorubas have been the only group of people where any action in their region will always be felt by the rest of Nigeria. Check the wetie operation and its effect on our democracy and Nigeria as a whole. Check the NADECO revolt by the SW and its effect on Nigeria democracy. We were the one that send the military back to their barracks and ushered in the present democracy. Check the list of activists in Nigeria, the Yorubas always dominate the list because we are a tribe of intelligent and strong people. Do you think if the Igbos were the pioneers of Amotekun, do you think the North will shiver? No, they will just send the soldiers to arrest the situation and things will slow down. But they can't attack Yorubas easily because they know there will be consequences. 2 Likes 1 Share |

jimyjames:So much hate in just one post, I wonder why you want unity with a weak region instead of going for a stronger one. You're doing a favour to a people who never begged you for it, what is that if not begging for unity, unity beggars. 1 Like 1 Share |

LegendHero: Amotekun is just a vigilante group something we have over here in almost all the states in south east beside it doesn't threaten the unity of this country , start something similar to ipob then we can discuss about that you Yoruba's can never talk of having your own nation cause you know the northerners will crush you |

Re: A United South Is The Down Fall Of The North by LegendHero(m): 11:15pm On Jan 17, 2020 |
jimyjames: Lol, Northerners will crush Yorubas? You don’t know nada about Nigeria history. The only thing the North fears is an uprising from the Yorubas because they know the Yorubas are the fulcrum upon which the unity of this country is balanced. Why should the Yorubas have a group like IPOB? That’s not how the Yorubas operate, we are not uncultured and we don’t go about attacking people personalities instead of issue of concern. The Yorubas don’t shout without action. If we had been in the shoes of the Igbos, we would have gotten what we wanted. Courage is not about empty boasting, courage is the will to set your eyes on a goal and get it without fearing no mortal! Amotekun came into the scene like a tornado and the North are shivering already coz of the mighty SW. Don’t dare us coz when we set our eye on a target, we don’t miss it! 3 Likes 2 Shares |

LegendHero: Really? The North obviously had no such fear when they went to Ibadan and slaughtered the Military Governor of the Western Region, Lt Colonel Fajuyi. The North had no such fear when they chased away Brigadier Ogundipe, who should have been the next President after Ironsi, and brought a much junior Gowon to rule from Lagos. The North had no such fear when they slaughtered Abiola. The North had no such fear because they knew Yorubas wouldn't do much. Why should the Yorubas have a group like IPOB? That’s not how the Yorubas operate, we are not uncultured and we don’t go about attacking people personalities instead of issue of concern. Explains why you guys will be asking for restructuring until Lugard resurrects The Yorubas don’t shout without action. If we had been in the shoes of the Igbos, we would have gotten what we wanted. Courage is not about empty boasting, courage is the will to set your eyes on a goal and get it without fearing no mortal! What a laugh! Declare your own country and fight for it if you dare. Thats the stuff independent minded people are made of. Amotekun came into the scene like a tornado and the North are shivering already coz of the mighty SW. Unfortunately, that target has never been as high as self determination |

I just felt somh for my brothers who lack basic understanding.. I love his silence as per Amotekun gist..I so much respect his political calculations.. izombie: Your reasoning is one major reason such alliances won't work. You should do away with stereotyping and dividing along religion path....the only way is for SE to first find a way to unite and form a solid entity that can bond to other regions.....fact is, an alliance of the South can not topple the North but another factor exists that will be a sure toppler for the North. I bet you, once North loses the chance to call the shots, they will be tired of Nigeria......the greatest threat to realizing this is the inability of the SE to bond together and form a MASS...... |
