Can i resend my scores to a school that have already admitted me? I mean after retaking the GRE so that i can start pushing for funding.

If they consider GRE as part of the criteria for deciding who gets funded or not, you can mail your program coordinator and tell him/her that you retook the GRE and would like to know if you can resubmit your score, considering its part of the factors they consider in deciding the funding part of the admission process. Also, don't be shy to emphasize how important funding is to you.

Good luck.

@Elizabeth0001,
Truth is all fields are okay and what your passion is should guide you as to what area and school you should select. At the moment, I would suggest you pick a school that has a strength in your interest. Otherwise, you could switch to a Business Analytics or Data Science/Analytics programs if you are quantitatively inclined.

Me: I did some research with educationusa and google
VO: how many schools did you apply to ?
Me : I considered two schools but I eventually decided not apply to just UIS
VO: why?
Me : they have a graduate public service program that would provide me with two years work experience alongside my degree
VO: who is sponsoring you ?
Me: my dad

VO: can you tell me what you plan to do with this degree long term upon graduating ?
Me: I plan to come back to Nigeria and take exams to be a certified environmental health officer , the international exposure and the internship would look really good on my resume and also on the long run I would really love to work with ngos to bring awareness to mental health and depression in Nigeria
VO; why public health with conc. In env health ?
Me: I chose this course after my internship at Nigerian breweries I worked in the health safety and risk Dept , I took serious interest and when I got bacj to school , because of my undergrad course I had to speak with a health physics professor who advised me to take electives like energy and environment , environmental physics to make the transition easy
VO: what’s your undergrad ?
Me : physics

VO; okay I’ll be approving your visa , do you have your 40k with you ?
Me : yes
Hands me my passport and directs me to where I paid

V.O Good morning
Me: Good morning, maam
VO : why are you going to virginia tech?
Me : I am going there for my masters degree because they are ranked as one of the top 100 universities in the world by world report and usnews and
VO : cuts in...Yes yes I know all the statistics. what do you do ?
Me : I am a mechanical engineer with bleep organization
VO: whats your present level
Me : told her
VO : did you write the GRE?
Me: Yes I did
VO : what did you score?
Me : told her
VO: I see you got an assistantship, how did you get this?
Me : I wrote to the professors whose interests aligns with mine and those that were interested wrote back, then we had a skype interview and I got the offer
VO types for a while then : are you married?
Me : No
starts typing again then I interrupt
Me : I do have study permit from my organization ( holds it up to show her)
VO waves it away : I have made up my mind, go to this window and pay the reciprocity fee and dont arrive after school starts or you might be turned back
Me : ok, thank you maam
VO : one last question, if you couldnt cope and lose your assistanship what would you do?

I am thinking of applying to the University also (uni of Missouri) but I just found out they don't accept WES and TOEFL is not automatically waived. How did u went about yours, did u submit TOEFL or it was waived?
