When you picked up arms against the Federal Republic, what were you expecting? Hugs and kisses? Well, some of your women and ladies were actually used as sex slaves within the period, so they got the hugs and kisses you were expecting when you declared war against the Federal Republic.

Everything is far and just in War and in Love.
You are a fool.

Funny question is why descend on unarmed citizens.... Some group of people don't forgive nor forget. They also don't take No for an answer. They will rip open a mothers womb and kill her baby to get their pound of flesh. It is what it is to them.

Did they pick up arms ? Hell no
Asaba people said they are not biafra ,that biafra is wicked , one Nigeria for life!
And now
Now where is nzeogwu from?

Fulani I remove cap for una , u people are only Igbo match in Nigeria other tribes are akamu
Well you might not blame the people of Asaba for acting that way at that crucial moment, any group of people can act differently in the face of life and death.

Even with tales of woe on this scale, yet some people still find it unbelievable that one Nigeria is not a very popular concept in some parts of this country.

The national elected leaders that should heal the old wounds are re-opening it.

Tell me how Nigeria will ever be good if the children of these people remember the ordeal their parents passed through and how they still continue to be marginalised presently.
It's unfortunate that the power has been kept with the ruthless who care about nothing but their stomach and can do anything to remain in power.
Nigeria can never be one

The price for organized genocide and annihilation of the Asaba people was paid by Lt.Col.Murtala Mohammed & Capt.Taiwo.They came in all guns blazing and also left the world in a hail of bullets.RIP Asaba brethren & other victims of similar injustice till date.

Same goes to the cowardly Chukwuma Nzeugwu ( the man who foolishly started it all ) creeping into the houses of unarmed people at midnight murdering women and sleeping persons. He was killed by federal recruits in the first few weeks of the Biafran war. Did he think he would live to inherit Nigeria?

The affected people do not make enough noise about this massacre hence they remain oppressed in the contraption called Nigeria.
How did the Jews of Israel and Tutsis of Rwanda do it with holocaust and genocide?

This "no victor or vanquished " talk has not helped any side.

Just like what Nigeria did in Asaba, several Ijaw communities in Rivers state suffered similar fate under Biafran occupation, communities like Abonemma and Ogu ( both in Rivers state).

If the leaders of Nigeria did what was right in the 50s and 60s the war could have been avoided.

Till date they've continued promoting all the vices and supressive structures that led to this madness.

Apart from Ijaw communities Ogoni, Ibibio communities etc felt the brunt of both Biafran and Nigerian brutality.

The true victims of that war are the people of the Niger Delta.

They suffered in a war that was not theirs, suffered all sorts of abuse from both sides.

There was no Niger delta then.

Apart from Edo-delta, the rest of the south south was under the eastern region led by military Governor Ojukwu and his deputy Effiong.

So biafra did not attack their own territory.

Thank God for civilization, this act of mowing down people like they are spraying mosquitoes with insecticide is rampant in the1900s. People were so barbaric and crude then, especially the powers that be. Now everyone just wants to enjoy this life. Besides, this massacre is enough for the people in that region to pick up arms and start a guerilla warfare against a government.
