I understand that there is a new SEC rule that mandates listed companies to release audited accounts within 60 days instead of the previous 90 days. If you are unable to do so, then you must release unaudited results within 30days. That is why we are seeing a flurry of activities from the lazy ones that will not be able to meet the deadline. Another interesting angle is that many auditors are going to be under serious tension because coys managements will not want their audited accounts to be significantly different from their unaudited figures. An interesting game going forward. SEC and NSE will have to be on their toes.

Shareholders groups will also have a lot of ammunition to deal with wicked Boards going forward.

It may likely lead to employment of more hands to handle these audit jobs but whether temporary or permanent, one may not be too sure.
My thinking anyway

We may be getting all these results by end of this month and then wait for audit and CBN's approval (as the case may be).

This might be the new plot twist to the whole drama.

Flat performance, both top line and bottom line but not a bad result for a conservative bank considering the very tough macro & regulatory environment. Probably, an inkling of what to expect in the banking industry re. FY2019 results -better results expected from the more aggressive and resilient banks. Second level thinking....

Wapco is not a bad stock if picked at the right price.it could only be a bad investment when you overpay for it.

Another thing is that ,it is highly suicidal when a single stock makes the bulk of your portfolio in a developing market, where you see a Stock with great fundamentals tanks for no obvious reason, while a stock with poor/no fundamentals rallies astronomically.

It is expected thus priced in... Sell-off would be limited. Don't be surprised if price goes upward, sha
