I personally believe that the best plays are found by not rushing to find the next best thing since sliced bread. I wait patiently, do my homework, and when the stars align and the information is solid, I bet heavy—sometimes even a significant portion of my net worth. Right now, 90% of my trading account is riding on Aradel, Seplat, Total, and JB. With each of them already returning over 200%. Patience and conviction wins the game.

Earlier today, I took that ₦1M challenge (Although I only committed 650k), and put it all on Fidelity! No idea they were going to drop their results today. Now I'll let the market do it's thing

Wow. 85kobo interim dividend. Access should really be ashamed of itself.
Final dividends of banking stocks go sweet well well.

Fidelity Bank

In FUGAZ. I have longed replaced FBNH with Fidelity. FBNH just managed 0.40k final dividend that we are yet to see. Access Bank upon all their acquisition managed 0.45k interim ( stingy bank). FCMB is lagging behind because they don't want to improve on dividend. Despite the humongous EPS of Zenith and especially GTCO, it was only N1 they deem fit to give investors. Well, UBA shame them all by declaring N2. Fidelity did a yeoman's job with this latest declaration. It will definitely spur the share price, if not now on the nearest future. Just watch out.

Exiting ALHAJI PRODUCTS isn't the best advise if he is a long term trader/investor

Those who bought into Alhaji should have known that they are buying long term.

Patience is a virtue

There is nothing wrong in exiting and come back for it later, imagine if he had exited when it was N55, and invest elsewhere to make just 10% then come back for Alhaji now that is N30.

It wasn't the largest percentage in portfolio then, I think it was about 20% of my portfolio. Like I said I have recovered all the losses and now at positive

We small investors are investing to make money and grow our portfolio, unlike the HNIs who are after board control.

This Alphamorgan Isn’t the same with Morgan Capital group - your intended broker. Just search “Morgan Capital Account Opening form” on Google. Your first search result should give you a link to opening an individual account directly on the correct Morgan Capital website. I have pasted the same link below (first merge it as one before using).

When FO was battling for Transcorp PLC, he felt shareholders should be getting more ROI. This appears to have gingered up TOE because companies that have his footprint on the exchange are becoming more generous smiley.

My best stocks still remains:

1. Nascon
2. Dangote Sugar
3. Dangote Cement
4. Access Bank
5. UBA PLC

These stocks have great potentials and are currently undervalued.

If your goal is long term capital growth, these stocks are a great addition to your portfolio.

I always wonder when i hear such comment.

If N5,000 buys one unit of Seplat, that same amount buys 100 units of Dangote sugar at N50 per unit. When both stocks rise or fall by 10% they make the same monetary gain or loss, or am I missing something?
It creates the impression that some people just prefer penny stocks so their portfolio numbers can be in tens of millions of shares

And you can. Believe it or not, I started with a small N10m dash from my father (God rest his soul) in January 2023, and I’ve since grown it into a nine-figure portfolio. It all began with just three stocks, which I picked up after getting some insight from a source: Dangote Sugar @ #17, Transcorp at #1.20, and Julius Berger at #25.30.

I exited my positions in the first two at the height of the market frenzy earlier this year. I believe that one should be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy. But there are some stocks which I believe are always a buy, like JB and ensure to pick up more units when the price drops, as it is essentially an FG asset.

You’re absolutely spot one. High share prices give the illusion of higher gains for some people. Even recently with this Aradel split, I had friends who didn’t want to buy at 7k but they’re buying now with the same anount at #600 (essentially 12k) when they’d have got more units at that 7k

Learning is actually a continuous thing. In Nov 2000, I actually penciled down some stocks at the following prices Nestle (N1400), Airtel (N535), Dangote Cement (N205), MTN (N155), Okomu (N80), Bua Cement (N56),FCMB (N8.40) and Fidelity ( N2.60). I actually entered the penny ones because I felt there will be room for growth. I left out the expensive ones because I felt if dividend is paid because of my small units it won't amount to much. Also the rate of price appreciation of expensive shares is low. But, I really never thought about it the way you explained it. Moreso, from my the list I made out here some had doubled or tripled in price while some had lost value.
But the lesson learned today go for any share that is doing well irrespective of the price range as they are all bound by the same 10% appreciation or depreciation. Thanks for the insight.

Thanks for this further explanation. From the date you quoted, it means it had not been long you entered this stocks yet you have good testimony about them. I am really encouraged and would make my portfolio a mix of expensive stocks and penny stocks.
