Exactly!!! another famous example of this phenomenon.

Igbophobia is actually inferiority complex manifestation.

Because any rational human being with a sense of dignity and self worth will not be showing this level of hypocrisy.

You hate igbos but want to have half igbo children. Isn’t that madness?

Igbophobia is real! It is not just a Yoruba issue. It is a bigger issue in the Niger Delta! There's a calculated approach to present the Niger Delta as not having ethnic Igbos. We all know that Igbo groups make up more than 65 % of the Niger delta

No European forcing you to give your children English names.

I concur! All Igbo people I know have Igbo names as well. So, it is a non issue. Many people just prefer English names for ease of pronunciation.

Culture trumps ease of understanding. If touh introduce yourself to someone and they can't pronounce tour name and make no effort to, then leave the person as you don't have their respect.

Story! Leave a person just because they can't pronounce your name? Bro, your theory is good for some empty headed morons!

Do you realize that many people do not know another place apart from their country? Do you know how many Americans who think that Africa is just a country? Do you know how many Asians who think Africa is a country? Do you prefer people to mispronounce your name? It is no fault of theirs if they can't pronounce African names.

Many people are still getting to know more about Africans and you just want us to do away with them just because these people can't pronounce our names properly?

Your theory is good only for morons!

Yoruba are not necessarily Igbophobic they are just scared , disturbed, intimidated by the surging Igbo financial boom in their land....I mean , who wouldn't ? They are troubled they might wake up one day and their land will become Igbo owned. The people who really hate Igbo are SS Igbo.

You just nailed it here. Most of these emotional wrecks don't even know the reality on ground.

That's why idealist like pazienza keeps shooting himself on the leg without success.

You still don’t get it. Igbo women are free to marry whom they fall in love with. I just don’t support it with groups that hate or wish so much evil against the igbos.

There are so many igbophobic groups that want to marry igbo women. Yorubas are known for that.

I have no problem with igbo women marrying ibibios or Efiks and similar groups. They don’t have a history of wishing us evil.

You can’t hate and antagonize us yet come the next day to marry from us. Even here on Nairaland, some of the biggest tribalist are married to igbo women. Edo is included in this.

Nobody is more Igbophobic than your SS igbos.
Nobody hates you more than your SS igbos.

Try and extend your research and relationships fully abode and clear your doubt. You still leaving in fantasy.

Life is simple:
I don’t like pork, I won’t go looking to buy a pig.
I don’t like beef, I won’t go looking to buy a cow

I don’t like igbos but I want to marry a beautiful igbo woman but at the same time support policies and evil things against igbos while having half igbo children.

This is a sign of inferiority complex.

If I don’t like a group, I will never try to marry and have children with them.

Even Ikwerre men that hate being igbo still go to imo state to marry wives. It’s becoming very common and annoying.

If you hate igbos, stay away from igbo women but a lot of Nigerian men find this common sense concept hard to grasp.

Create a standard for your society. Moreover many Igbos don't even know Ikwerres are existing.

All you do is spew rubbish night and day. Are you cursed that you have nothing reasonable to post all the time. Oya gather your umunna and go boast oguta village PORT.

Do you know about barges? Barges takes the same thing ships can carry. Illiterate go and get informed

Barges don't take even half the number of containers a cargo ship can carry. Barges are flat bottom vessels used in low draft and small rivers for transporting a reasonable number of containers/cargo from the seaport to a river port. They don't even have their own engines as they require tug boats to pull them along the water. I want you to search for pics of container ships and count the levels of container arraignment there and compare it to the number of containers carried by barges then you see that barges are children compared to container ships.

Gibberish! Traditional rulers only have ceremonial powers. No traditional ruler in Igboland is as powerful as the Emir of Kano yet, the Governor cut him to size. The only traditional ruler in Anambra state is the Obi of Onitsha. The others are warrant chiefs!

So, how are they different from the leaders of any other community?

There are things that doesn't need reply because as at today traditional rulers in anambra wields enough power in their respective towns.

It is only a town without people that will allow their Governor to humiliate their traditional ruler. Emir of kano has its power starting and. Ending in kano. He has no jurisdiction outside that. Only his people in power will accord him more respect to lift his status.

That been said...All traditional has their full powers intact...you can't just enter and mess it up....who are you to do that...

If so let obiano try rubbish with Obi of onitsha, Igwe orizu, Eze ndi Eze or even any other let's see how it goes...

Non issue! All Igbos still use Igbo names. Igbo people are not the only ones with middle names. Many Yoruba's have either English or Arabic middle names!

This is a non issue!

The two Niger Bridges has reduced the potential size of ships that will berth at Onitsha port.
It's unwise to hinge the industrial effort of the SE to just a small river port that may become costly to import goods as well as provide bonded warehouse for containers due to the land space. Even if we're going to demolish houses to create space for the project, we'll talking about billions of naira's in compensation. If such funds is used for an alternative project such the Oguta port or the Azumini deep sea, it would be beneficial in the long run?

There is need for the SE to boast Oguta to a world class sea port. The area have got large space to contain a world class project and is just a few kilometres to Onitsha. Even the Azumini river can be considered and dredged by the government as another viable option for the SE.

When the Niger bridge is complete, only barges will be able to get to the Onitsha port. The numerous pillars from the 2nd Niger bridge has completely scattered any hope of getting large vessels to get to Onitsha port. As for that Azumini river, I heard from a not-too-reliable source that there are sections of that river as small as 25 metres wide. If that is true, it will require not only dredging but also annexation and destruction of nearby land to increase the width of the river. That will run into billions of dollars in construction and compensation.

Even in the US, during the time Europeans were taking Africans as slaves and destroying African people, some were taking African women for pleasure among other things.

Today, some white males who hate Black men and Black people, will still take Black women as concubines and even wives.

This dynamic is played out today, where someone can hate and wish to destroy Igbo people, and in the same breath brag about their conquests of Igbo women. It's all warfare against the main target.

BRAG ABOUT THEIR CONQUEST OF IGBO WOMEN IT IS, WELL SAID.

People fear what they don't understand and then seek to destroy it. Igbo is an enigma for non Igbos. They just can't figure us out, hence the phobia.
The SS Igbo hating Igboids like Ogba and Ikwerre are no different from the Yorubas. I had said this before. I have been on the forums of these groups, and the amount of toxic Igbophobia emanating from there would even shock Yorubas themselves.

About this marriage issue eh, I have discovered and concluded the following:
1) Children and the household in general tend to be greater influenced by the mother/woman in the house.
2) The children tend to be more attracted to their mother's side than to their father's side
3) Judging from the high number of women in Igboland and those still being born, I don't feel we should worry too much about Igbo women marring men of other ethnic groups
4) Igbo men tend to marry more from Igbo land so the fear of having Igbo children who know nothing about Ndigbo is reduced.
5) With the current trend of people of other ethnic groups marrying Igbo women, we will soon witness a new generation of children from other groups who harbour zero hatred for Ndigbo as they will be greatly influenced by their Igbo mothers.
6) Check out what is happening in the Ondo government house. The Igbo wife of the governor has so influenced the governor that he recently handed the state transport service to an Igbo company to run, something that hardly takes place in Yoruba land. That is the power of a woman's influence in the family. Do you want to tell me that their children will harbour hatred towards Ndigbo like other Yoruba people?
7) As long as Igbo men continue to marry Igbo women, Igbo land, culture and tradition is save.
cool You that is worrying about Igbo women marrying Yoruba men, have you wondered how Yoruba women will be feeling? Lol. Their men no marry them, igbo men self no marry them lol
