Chai!! Different opinions here. Na wa oo. grin
This is mine:
* If you're not in urgent need of the fund and you bought higher, just exercise patience. You need a good dose of it.
* If you're in already and you have additional fund, wait for it to bottom out, then try to average down cos as it is you may not even be able to sell now..............Prof, I know you cautioned against average down sometimes ago, but I just think it may not apply to all scenario. grin
* If you cant withstand the heat and you entered at cheaper price, sell and book your profit first, then wait for bottom to buy it back.

Caveat: This is purely my opinion.

Yep! Extremely differing mkt opinions - the playground for making superior investment returns! cool

For ppl that still have WAPCO...my simple advice is: DON'T SELL. The result would likely come out soon and u might not be able to buy at a lower price.

From risk-return trade-off perspective, why lose your paper profit waiting for release of results, hmm? If excellent results after, then you have a second crack or plan for re-entry via waiting for pull-backs or for price to gravitate towards a moving average etc. Always a second chance in the mkts regardless...

93K... Well, we can manage that. There's still 10 more minutes of MM trading, you can get the extra 1k for us.

As it stands now, waiting for the audited result of Wapco to surface is the Koko.I don't mind chasing a moving train once the result is good.

Which flat result? You expect audit and CBN not to scrap anything off that final EPS?

I was surprised to see that the Elephant released it annual report on time. Checked gain, I saw that it was unaudited.

Looking at where FBNH is coming from.... i can only applaud this result. Even if them scrape from EPS, i go still hail them. The 50% drop in NPL's is remarkable. If they sustain the trend in 2020, FBNH will easily do N80bn. Na then the party go start.

Audit, not likely, but CBN, probably re. NPL provisioning & write-backs.... Just don't trust Emefiele with his fire-fighting approach with political grandstanding. It'sn't been called Emperor even by his industry colleagues, for nothing. Banks too are wise now by giving us these unaudited FY results, any significant deviation from the audited results, they will know where to shift the blame... CBN Regulatory issues vs Operational performance issues kinda-battle brewing!

When non performing loans are written off and taken out, why won't the NPL drop to 50%? I would have applauded them if the NPL dropped with corresponding increase in recovered loans/funds.

Am yet to disect the report though but if they recovered more loans, they wouldn't have had a flat unaudited result.

These results get as dem be ooo.
I am not schooled in accounting so ayam not understanding.
let me come and be going shaa

...this was expected, so no need to banter or fret !!
Q3 financial print already gave a clue. This result merely captured what was already in place(divestments/unbundling in view)

CFP still shows that growth trajectory is very much intact.
UACN remains a BUY even @ current price !!

The wise ones know what to do...

This is where HW gets very ruthless with Diamond/Access loan recovery.
He has liquidated lots of oil & gas assets as part of loan recovery drive.
I know of an oil rig they sold last year. In the middle of negotiation for the rig, he was proposing a seized Japaul yard in PH for sale to the prospective rig buyer to sweeten the deal. grin
