Trust me, the emotional torture will never yield anything good but more bitterness. You will end up hating life and counting calenders like a girl who missed her period.


Engage in anything positive, learn a skill or do a job to keep your mind busy..



If you want to check your status, once or twice in a month is recommended.




Secondly, don't waste your time going spiritual on the process and don't waste your time calling uscis, . Uscis will never skip previous batches to attend to you even if you are Buhari's child, and the automated responder will keep telling you to call back when your PD is displayed on the site. They handle cases batch by batch and the current month petition been handled is shown on the uscis website.
When the reciept dates on uscis page matches with your PD and you didn't get any notification of RFE or NOA2, you or your spouse can then call the uscis number or go spiritual against village people.

Yes, some receive their NOA1 approval faster than the other, but your waiting start counting from your PRIORITY DATE. Either you receive notice in August, October or December, the date you received notice doesn't matter, its the priority date that do matter.


As for the 1 year waiting, it depends on center. Potomac and texas are average of 7months while nebraska and California have 1 year waiting average. This duration may be longer or shorter than the estimate due to several factors.


Like I advised you earlier, I will repeat again. Take off your mind from this petition for now. Engage yourself in learning one or two skills. If you have money, enroll for online studies in any American University while waiting for your approval.

The waiting is a long ride and if you continue this way, you will end up been depressed and frustrated before your wait is over.

Its cool and good as you make enquires here, no doubt.

But I'm seeing beyond that. I'm seeing someone who wishes to join his wife as soon as possible.

But unfortunately, there is nothing you can do than to wait till whenever you get the noa2 notice.

Not heard from them since I got the mail for documentarily qualified, my husband has sent mail to them twice, still no response.

1.Spouse visa takes a longer time to get approved than fiance visa, hence the scarcity of updates as most people are also waiting.

2. The thread is new (created on April 19. Less than year ago). Since most NOA2 approval takes a year average. I guess most members are still awaking noa2
