Nice one. But that KC defensive stand at midfield was immense.

Damien Williams MVP?

You know they would never do that. It was a chance to crown the new face of the league and they took it

Yeah. Could have gone either way, but the QB always has the advantage (especially an annointed one like Mahomeboy)

I love Mahomes but Dame Dash was the MVP of this SuperBowl. We might as well just name it the QuarterBack MVP.

It is what it is. Mahomes came through in the 4th quarter like you predicted though.
I just like the way African-American quarterbacks are taking over.

I think they could divide the MVP into two. However I can understand why they gave Mahomes. The truth is with that guy under center you just don't believe you're out. You know it and the other team knows it.

He can play rubbish all game and yet you know he only needs 1 quarter.
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 1:35pm On Feb 03, 2020
And to those quack analysts that were comparing Garropolo (Max Kellerman #1 culprit) to Tom Brady. And laughably insinuating Garropolo could have pulled off what Brady did, hopefully they can zip it shut now.

Last year Brady beat this man twice. At 41

Yup I knew that would happen. Dude is simply special. Hopefully He stays injury free for years to come. Had He not had quite a mediocre First half and thrown 2 picks, He would have quite happily given Him the MVP but as you said it is what is.

Also Very excited about the plethora of quality Black QBs in the league atm. It challenges the Stereotype that says they can only succeed at only certain positions on the field.

Nah that's not going happen. Mahomes is the NFL's new golden goose. No way they'll let Him share that Award.

Just being sarcastic. Mahomes threw two TDs and ran for another. Don't forget that bomb he threw to Tyreke Hill. The kid is just electrifying I think he will bring a lot of new fans to the sport

The Celtics are engaged in trade talks with the Houston Rockets for C. Capela, the degree of interest shown is still unknown. I know D. Ainge is not looking to rock the boat for a transfer, so it would be interesting to see what becomes of this news.

The Hawks always play is hard but Tatum, Brown and Hayward matched their scoring. T. Waters is one player I have been keeping a close on this season. On to Orlando!

Perfectly justified if he did that. A lot of bums these days bringing shame to the Mamba mentality.
Case in point, Paul George and the Poverty franchise he plays for.

George has become a lazy offensive players who has restricted his game to primarily shooting from behind the arc. He has dumped his jumpers and is no longer interested in attacking the rim. I am happy he was snubbed for the All Stars and if he does not change his approach to the game he would become a regular player. Hopefully someone speaks some truth to his hearing as the post season approaches because the Clippers would need him.

Though unjustifiable, the Sixers probably reasoned Harris was a better shooter and was more likely to fit in as the No3 Cog in a Championship contending team. Buckets is a no2 Guy. For all the Drama that He brings,i'd happily play second fiddle to a Guy He truly respects.
Re: The NBA Begins by chic2pimp(m): 10:21pm On Feb 04, 2020
I must say I am liking this Jamel Morant kid grin. Dude is Young,Brash, fearless and wants all the smoke. From mumbling "Tell this M£&@€ F@#*%^ about Me" to Harden and now this. Dude is not backing down from nobody no matter who you are and me likey.

Having said all of that, Steph is about to catch a case when He gets back. This has made a run of the mill regular season game into a Must see come next season.

I don't think the Sixers thought Harris was a better all round player, I think they were worried about the drama and baggage that Butler carries. They already have Embiid/ Simmons distraction and Butler would have made that worse. Butler Is a more flexible player when it comes to roles in comparison to Harris but I think the baggage/ distraction was an issue.

Butler is just the type of guy a borderline contender like Philly would have used to whip up seriousness into these young guys. He's a closer and after seeing what he's doing in Miami with his leadership I also admit I was one of those that erroneously kicked against the Sixers paying him.

Look at Minnesota, they are now on a 12 game losing streak and what looked like a decent team has gone to dust since he left.

Harris when he doesn't score is borderline useless as he can't defend or playmake

The truth is, neither Embiid nor Simmons would have deferred leadership responsibilities to Butler. All 3 players have very strong personalities and ego problems so that would have been a very toxic situation. Miami is a perfect fit for Butler, his leadership/ voice in the locker room will never be threatened/ questioned. Remember he had the same problem in Chicago/Minnesota. He is by far the better player and would have brought more but at what expense especially if they don’t win a title?

Exactly...There is no way Harris is the better player hence why I said "Better Shooter". He is a better player than everyone in that team not named Embiid(fully fit). Butler is more like a No2 Guy unlike Harris who is at best a No3 kind of Guy. Also Having Butler there would have meant one of Embiid/Simmons having to take a step back and I think the Sixers have invested so much in that Duo that isn't going to happen for the forseeable future.
